Ahoy Mates! Welcome onboard Virgin Voyages’ Scarlet Lady! This is Virgin Voyages first ever cruise ship! Virgin Record’s Richard Branson had a new vision for the cruise industry and the Scarlet Lady is the flagship vessel of that vision. Sailing on Virgin Voyages will be a very unique experience compared to other cruise lines’ sailings. This is an adult only cruise line that offers many non-traditional inclusions and concepts. Included in your cruise fare price are gratuities, basic wi-fi, all dining venues, and non-alcoholic beverages (such as soft drinks). The ship and crew are committed to nautical theming and creating a fun adult-friendly atmosphere!
Today we are in Port Miami Florida boarding Scarlet Lady, Virgin Voyages first ever cruise ship! The boarding process was definitely strenuous, but once onboard, we had a great time! We had our most memorable safety briefing to date, a beautiful night time sail away, and some great night aesthetic! In today's video, we cover a lot of important dining information! There is not a main dining room or buffet onboard. Instead, there are restaurants and the Galley (which is an alternative to a buffet) all included in your cruise fare! Tonight we ate at Gunbae, which is Korean BBQ cuisine cooked at your table, and it was delicious! We also talk about our first impressions so far in terms of the amount of partying happening on the ship.

Enjoyed your boarding Virgin Scarlet Lady and you both have definitely made the best of your first long day. I suspected the ship is very different from the other cruise lines. JJ Cruise also had a detailed review (Jordan was not a big fan lol and they both found it an experience indeed)and I already know that it wouldn’t be my first pick before sailing a Royal Caribbean Oasis class ship🛳🙏👍. Looking forward to following your adventure but very happy you are finding perks onboard and in the room to. Korean BBQ looked delish😋. Feeling the Disney vibe will be more suited to the Hoffmans…..really excited for you both and will virtually enjoy your upcoming Disney adventure from our cold beautiful city Montreal 🇨🇦🥳

The Korean BBQ experience looks fairly authentic. I'm pleasantly surprised. I like the fact that they cook for you. Usually you cook uour own food at Korean restaurants. 🥰🥰🥰

The cabin doors operate based on RFID, not WiFi, so no worries there. We just said WiFi symbol, because that’s what it looked like. 😁

6:50 - this is not true! Not every XLT have a hammock starting Deck 12 and up front of 338A/Z and on will not have a hammock because of the ship bow.

I have such mixed feelings about this ship and cruise line based on the several vlogs I've seen as well as Instagram posts from a travel agent friend. Matt, the look on your face during the safety video pretty much sums up how I feel. It seems like this is a ship for people with an overwhelming need to prove how cool they are. Thing is, I know I'm not cool and really don't care.
I have a group of friends who occasionally do a cruise together, and while I think Virgin Voyages might be fun for one of our shipboard get-togethers, I doubt I'd enjoy it on my own. I would adore that Korean place, though. Looking forward to the rest of your trip and hoping my opinion of the ship will improve.

That ship is too weird for me!! I saw JJCruise review on it and it’s a NO for me. Royal Caribbean for me and my family!!!
