My parents would’ve took everything back immediately! They always kept their receipts just in case. And just because they took it back doesn’t mean your going to get what you asked for, they’re going to use the money on bills and tell you oh well stop being ungrateful when you have electricity and a roof over your head for the next month 😂

I’m with you on this my nonverbal autistic 32 year old son gets so excited when he gets presents he shakes he is developmentally disabled too but I get a hug and a kiss and a thank you in sign language. My grandson and daughter both hug me when I get them a gift card

Honestly this breaks my heart because these children have so much other kids would kill for. As a teenager, I see how hard my parents work for me and my sibling. They work so hard for us, and especially Christmas. I’m so blessed to have them and these kids need to learn that everyday and everything is a blessing. Especially when your parents have worked sooo hard to give you gifts.

I know we are total strangers communicating via the Internet, but promise me that one day (even years and years from rn, into the future) after you work YOUR tail off, become scarily sleep deprived 😂 and finish all of those extra shifts you also did not want, but avidly took 😅 that you will buy//do something so, so amazing for them that they won't be able to believe it! Even after you give them grandbabies and they give you grandbabies, they'll be telling them all about what you did for them as a young teen//adult; very much STILL in disbelief over it! Hahaha. Point being, they pass on some pretty dang amazing, heart-warming and most importantly... HUMBLING wisdom that they absorb and utilize in their lives and repeat for years and years to come! Here's to hoping we can maybe dial back, re-wire and humble all young children and teens who very much need a good lesson in being thankful so that they can pass it on to their kids and so on, so forth!!!! Right? When I was younger my Mom got me a N64 an I lost my mind. I was so thankful an excited. After we finished opening the rest of th presents. The first thing I did, was popped in Mario Kart and Mom and I played for at least a hour or two. But even when I got gifts I didn't care for I still acted excited and was grateful. And a lot of the gifts I dint care for at the time usually tended to grow on me over time and even at a young age I appreciated that people loved me enough to get me gifts.
I just got a MacBook, and I've said thank you like a million times to my parents! It doesn't matter how much the gift costs, it matters how much love somebody put into the gift.

When I was a kid, my family could not afford expensive and proper gifts for me so they always used to give me a Christmas card, a gift card/ chocolates and I was always excited about it. Why are children these days so ungrateful..😭

Yk the funny thing is I’m 18 and for this Christmas I’ve gotten nothing….except for a car crash. Within that moment my life flashed before my eyes, I thought I was gonna die there and then. This made me realise that there’s more to life than materialistic things such as gifts. I am most grateful to God that I am still alive today. Life is the real gift…remember that!!

Me and my sister made a promise that we would buy tickets to a Stray Kids concert and go together one day. When it was announced they were having a concert close by we immediately made it our goal to purchase tickets. Sadly the tickets were way out of our price range. We wanted to go, but didn't want to bust all of our savings out for it. Come Christmas day and our parents went behind our backs and bought the tickets for us. My sister screamed and I started crying. Seriously an amazing Christmas. I'm grateful for everything. Cannot wait to see stray kids live in June!

Dude I'm 13 and only got like 6 presents. My parent's aren't in the best financial situation but they still got me something. I'm really grateful for everything that I got, even though its not a new phone or some shit like that. The most expensive thing I got was a new pair of wireless headphones and I love them. I got pretty everything I had asked for minus a couple of things, it was some simple stuff, just a Bugatti- I’m joking, I got the recent Diary of a A Wimpy Kid book, a Sonic phone case, a LEGO Optimus Prime from my Grandma (absolute fucking goated Grandma), a LEGO Battle bus from my dad which hasn’t shipped yet, a LEGO Tails Brickheadz, A LEGO Shadow head, a Vbucks card, and a Sonic board game, those were just all the things I asked from my relatives and parents, but I’m grateful for the other things I got and everyone should be grateful they at least got gifts, some people can’t even afford gifts.

They work so hard for us, and especially Christmas. I’m so blessed to have them and these kids need to learn that everyday and everything is a blessing. Especially when your parents have worked sooo hard to give you gifts.
Idk you, Hun, but thank you for taking the time to see JUST HOW MUCH your parents love you. I bet they work their tails off leading to a scary amount of sleep deprivation and taking on tons of extra shifts they definitely did NOT want... I know we are total strangers communicating via the Internet, but promise me that one day (even years and years from rn, into the future) after you work YOUR tail off, become scarily sleep deprived 😂 and finish all of those extra shifts you also did not want, but avidly took 😅 that you will buy//do something so, so amazing for them that they won't be able to believe it! Even after you give them grandbabies and they give you grandbabies, they'll be telling them all about what you did for them as a young teen//adult; very much STILL in disbelief over it! Hahaha. Point being, they pass on some pretty dang amazing, heart-warming and most importantly... HUMBLING wisdom that they absorb and utilize in their lives and repeat for years and years to come!
Here's to hoping we can maybe dial back, re-wire and humble all young children and teens who very much need a good lesson in being thankful so that they can pass it on to their kids and so on, so forth!!!!

Right? When I was younger my Mom got me a N64 an I lost my mind. I was so thankful an excited. After we finished opening the rest of th presents. The first thing I did, was popped in Mario Kart and Mom and I played for at least a hour or two.
But even when I got gifts I didn't care for I still acted excited and was grateful. And a lot of the gifts I dint care for at the time usually tended to grow on me over time and even at a young age I appreciated that people loved me enough to get me gifts.

Me and my sister made a promise that we would buy tickets to a Stray Kids concert and go together one day. When it was announced they were having a concert close by we immediately made it our goal to purchase tickets. Sadly the tickets were way out of our price range. We wanted to go, but didn't want to bust all of our savings out for it. Come Christmas day and our parents went behind our backs and bought the tickets for us. My sister screamed and I started crying. Seriously an amazing Christmas. I'm grateful for everything. Cannot wait to see stray kids live in June!

Dude I'm 13 and only got like 6 presents. My parent's aren't in the best financial situation but they still got me something. I'm really grateful for everything that I got, even though its not a new phone or some shit like that. The most expensive thing I got was a new pair of wireless headphones and I love them. These kids are disgusting.

I got pretty everything I had asked for minus a couple of things, it was some simple stuff, just a Bugatti- I’m joking, I got the recent Diary of a A Wimpy Kid book, a Sonic phone case, a LEGO Optimus Prime from my Grandma (absolute fucking goated Grandma), a LEGO Battle bus from my dad which hasn’t shipped yet, a LEGO Tails Brickheadz, A LEGO Shadow head, a Vbucks card, and a Sonic board game, those were just all the things I asked from my relatives and parents, but I’m grateful for the other things I got and everyone should be grateful they at least got gifts, some people can’t even afford gifts.
