- Hey guys,
The Enlightened Equipment Visp and The Zpacks Vertice are my top rain gear combo of all time. Weighing in at 8.11 oz this is the lightest rain gear setup I have ever traveled with. I carried The Vertice rain pants with me 4000 miles across the country earlier this year, and they never failed. The Vertice held up to all weather I encountered, even providing heat in a freezing cold morning situation on The Green Briar Trail in West Virginia.
I have heard nothing but good things about The Enlightened Equipment Visp, and from the 4-5 rides I have taken it on, I can tell it is a great quality piece of gear. This rain gear setup will be with me on many trips to come.
Thanks for watching Everybody. Happy New Year.

Light anything and everything this so the way to go.😄👍
I like keeping things light, to make room for the heavy stuff or extra food usually.
I got dry just watching this
helluva light system.
Keep on keeping on Great Video! Here's an algorithm boost brother.
When I first got into Bikepacking 8 years ago. I got into counting the grams.. even got my bike and all gear down to 14kg in total … but over the years what I learned is weight or pack size is not important.what is more important is gear that’s durable and if that means being more heavy then that’s what important to me ..gear that lasts … what I found the secret to Bikepacking is pack each bag as subject matter.ie one bag sleep system one bag for food etc one bag camera gear etc etc
Good points.
Thanks. I put little loops of hi-viz 1/8" paracord on most of my zippers for ease of use.
Nice.
New Intro music has a flashback to 80's let's go get waisted vibe digging it. Happy New Year. No pockets on the coat bummer. Over clothes guess you're already got pockets on that layer.
Happy new year! With such light rain gear, I don't expect anything except for not getting wet. Great gear.
Great video-Happy New Year
Happy new year!
Thanks for the review. The jacket looks great but it looks like the hood is to small to pull over a helmet? Happy New Year's

@@TravelingThru222 oops my bad I missed that. Cheers
Merry Christmas & Happy New Year!!!

Oh beer deer year! 👍
Nice review on rain gear. I'm in Phoenix Az. We don't see much rain gear for sale here. So any review is really helpful. Good gear is spendy.
Thanks for your videos. 😎
Thanks for watching.
Might look into that jacket. One I have now is covered in duct tape patches. Also need some t-shirts with pit-zips.
The Visp won't let you down, the T-shirts will.
Nice gear and a great review. Happy New Years, Al
Happy new year!

Welcome aboard! Thank you so much.
Coincidentally, I have the exact same set up. I have not used the pants on a bike yet, the legs seem so wide I’m guessing you must have done something to keep them from flapping around. I’m using good old fashion reflective ankle dealio‘s. Did you do anything more?
I used just an extra strap I had, nothing special. I don’t feel as the legs are overly wide at the bottom, I have ridden without a strap and has always worked well, no snagging. The seams have held up well also, no stretching or pulling. The Vertice are totally worth the cost and The visp is super cool.
@@TravelingThru222 slightly different topic but did you ever find the need for something like a Garmin in-reach while bike touring?
Love the jacket but not the color. I’m a hi-viz kinda guy and that dark charcoal grey concerns me.
Great.
