Neil, you can tell a story in the most entertaining way! Thanks so much for hosting us! Looking forward to seeing the ‘tractor project’ next week (on both of our channels)!
Again another video with the best yard driveway in America! I see why it stays in a great way based off how you take care if it.... your pride is amazing!
This is probably one of my favorites that i continue to watch.... THe way you prepare for a visitor to your home is inspiring!.... Your go to spot is the driveway, not surprising at all!
Thanks Ron! That was the best accidental shot I've ever had! I was watching the screen and just cringing as I saw them flying past, expecting a collision. Turned out pretty cool though!
Nothing better than a collaborative video with 2 or more YT contributors. These have to be among my fave vids. Looking forward to the sequel. Always good viewing on your channel.
You sure have a beautiful well maintained place! After watching that tag along box blade in action I see many advantages to it over a mounted blade for gravel work. Can’t wait to see the project coming up! Take care!
Sometimes I don't even turn the vacuum cleaner on. I just make lines in the carpet. Then I take a drive to admire Neil's driveway. It gives me hope, and restores my faith in humanity.
Haha! I used to do that with my farm implements on the living room floor too. Didn't even have to get the vacuum out! Driveway was getting bad from the school bus going through here twice a day! Feels better now... :)
Tbh i thought your drive looked fine before you started, then i realised you had another tractor guy coming over..... Beautiful place you got there, thanks.
I've just recently found your channel, which is weird because I saw the TTWT dog fence episode. I just wanted to say how impressive it is that all of your equipment and property seems to be meticulously maintained and organized. I know it isn't easy and takes a lot of time, especially with a young family.
So every time I see one of Neil's videos with that grader blade, I think I need to get to be close enough friends with Neil someday so he'll make me one of those blade and I can buy it from him. That driveway always looks fantastic in all your videos, I'm impressed Neil. Now waiting to see what you and Tim have in store...
@@digdrivediy Neil if you ever have money to blow and want to try a really good grader check out ABI attachments. I got a TR3e from them and it is amazing. Need a 1025r or so to use it though. I almost decided to try to build my own based on your plans but decided against it.
Thanks so much for the kind words! Glad to have you watching here. It is quite a bit of upkeep but we enjoy and take pride in this place. My cousins farm the land around our home. It was the original farmstead that went with the acres here of this farm but we bought the house and 2 acres in 2003. Thanks for checking out my video!
I wear two different brands of these style of pants and I like them both. I don't wear jeans at all anymore cause these are comfortable and the pockets are so much better. I highly recommend either brand but the Eddie Bauer brand is better quality and what I tend to favor. Wranger Flex Waist Outdoor Cargo Pant or Eddie Bauer First Ascent Men's Guide Pro Pant
Well, tractor can be had for about $1500 and grader box is about $1200. I have upgrades on the tractor like hydraulics and wheel weights. I'd say about $3000-$3500 for full setup most likely.
I let you down Rod. I'm catching up with comments and see you asked about it in the most recent video too. TTWT and I will both have videos on June 20th of this project! Thanks for hanging in there!
Have been watching your channel for several months. Am a new subscriber. I love you content. Your work ethic and innovations for doing work and being organized is just awsume and inspiring. But, one question. Is 1 year and 2 years old videos all there is? Is there nothing recent? I love seeing your channel as it grew. But, I would like current co tent....best wishes from western NC...
Hello there! Thanks for finding the channel and I'm glad you're enjoying it. There are plenty of recent videos. I produced one video per week all through 2023 and I've almost always had one per week prior to that. Last week's video was just shot last weekend! If you go to my channel homepage and click on "videos" and "latest" you should see them all. Thanks for watching! www.youtube.com/@digdrivediy/videos
That drone didn’t spook those geese at all! And capturing the swirly pattern was awesome... just curious... was Brutus dizzy by the time you were done? After all the plotting and planning... I didn’t put a urinal in my shop! It would have been easy. I just didn’t think of it. I remembered the coffee pot, fridge, dart board, big screen TV and obligatory stereo speakers. I mean at my advanced age... when you couple age related dementia with old man incontinence... Anything that breaks the creative chain of thought... is a problem. And due to the coffee pot and the fridge... I have a lot of interruptions!!! Thanks for adding it to my project list. I’m looking forward to seeing what you and Tim cook up. Two DIY chefs in the same kitchen... we’d better put Emergency Response on speed dial!!!
Haha! That urinal is one of the best features in my shop! I bought that at a flea market nearly 15 years before I built the barn. I knew I'd have a place for it one day, even despite the fact my wife tried to sell it at one of our garage sales a couple times! Apparently I'm the only one that spots a used urinal at a yard sale and is willing to carry it back to the truck! We had a good time with Tim here and the project we cooked up wish electrifying to say the least! See ya next time friend!
Hi Zach. You can't go wrong with a well running 318 or sometimes you can now find a 425 which is a foot operated hydrostat for around $1500. Just depends on what you want to do with it. If you're just mowing grass in the city, I would suggest a small zero turn but if you want to do other work, then the 318 is a great choice. It's a great starter tractor if you're new to tractors. Good luck!
@@digdrivediy nice I heard they have a bad engine that oil doesn’t lubricate properly but they made two different engines so I’m the one I buy has the good engine I believe if you go on a slant of a hill it will seize

The geese I've worked with were never this professional. These geese clearly know how to take direction! Great video as always!
Yeah, they did great...But this was like the 5th take! But yes, they nailed it eventually!
Haha, a pot hole for Neil is one stone out of place! Some super strong krazy glue on the back of that sign!
Awesome aerial footage with the geese!
I hate it when I get a stone out of place! 😋
Loved the Fansler sign throw and the drone footage with the geese. That had to be quite a thrill.
I thought for sure the drone would be going down. I was shocked to see them fly right past it!
You’ve got the homestead looking great. Drone shot with geese was epic!

Did you ever try dragging a section of chain link fence to float it out ?
I haven't but that would be worth a try.
What work pants are you wearing & would you recommend them?

Wranger Flex Waist Outdoor Cargo Pant

Eddie Bauer First Ascent Men's Guide Pro Pant
How wide is the scraper and did you build it
It is 5 ft wide and yes I did. There is an entire video blueprint I did on it about a year or so ago.
I think you should put a predator motor from harbor freight in bill we she put one on our log splitter mini skidsteer and our concrete saw 👍🏻
A lot of people really endorse the predator. Might be a good option.
what kinda gravel do you have in your drive way?
This is "washed" crushed limestone. Indiana size #11s. They are kinda small. But they don't have the powder in them.
What’s a set up like that worth? Tractor and all?
Well, tractor can be had for about $1500 and grader box is about $1200. I have upgrades on the tractor like hydraulics and wheel weights. I'd say about $3000-$3500 for full setup most likely.
