Hey Tim Awesome system. Those train cars look old fashion but are thoroughly modern. I notice that they barely make any noise at all and are remarkably clean. Sorry I missed the live premiere. Nice to see the video just the same. Thanks for sharing.
Thank you Tim for another extremely interesting video. Viewers of this video should note that the 4th June was the fourth day of the 'Neun-Euro Ticket'; just NINE Euros for a one month season ticket valid on ALL German LOCAL public transport (but not inter-cities). This probably explains why the trains at Hauptbahnhof were busy, even though it was a Saturday. I visited Munich on the 15th June, and the U-Bahn was very busy!
As cool as it is to see the older trains still in operation they don't look very wheelchair-friendly. As Indiana Jones would put it, those trains belong in a museum!
If you would like to fund my next trip to Azerbaijan I would definitely go. Otherwise I just haven't had the time to get there yet but had time to do Georgia and Armenia...

My fvourite ones were the older ones, where you had to manually open the doors.

They are as wheelchair friendly as the new trains. All trains have the same height and Space behind the doors.
All platforms have a wheelchair ramp on the front end of the platform to make access easier
