Hey guys! Here is a new tutorial to guide you step by step while making this kind of super amazing electronic projects which is the "Crawler robot" known also as "Spider Robot" ou a "Quadruped robot".
Since every body noticed the high speed evolution of robotics technology, we decided to take you guys to a higher level on robotics and robot making. we started a while ago by making some basic electronic projects and basic robot like PICTO92 the line follower robot in order to make you a bit familiar with the electronic stuff and find yourself able to invent your own projects.

Thanks for sharing your project and knowledge. It is a huge design and the base for a lot of play.
was a good project. it did involve a lot of pausing of this vid, and a total remodel of the stl, in blender, and cura to fit the circuit board shape, small print bed, and servos, also new battery compartment to fit 2 lipo batteries. I look forward to experimenting further with obstacle avoidance, stairs, and adding pincers..

Are those resistors surface mounted on the PCB? Do you have alternative PCB design to mount Through Hole Resistors?
Can this be also ran with a radio control receiver? There is a competition coming up and they only allow 2.4 GHz receivers for the cleanliness of control

How do you control 12 Servo motors with one Arduino nano? Because an Arduino nano has 6 pwm pins but you need 12

Velleman has a spider robot kit (allbot). All is freeware. The 3d files for the chasis, legs and the arduino program. So if your struggling with the movements you can check their code. They have some options ( 2 servo leg, 3 servo leg, bluetooth) in their codes. I bought one for 99 euro's including the legs and chasis, the servo's, arduino board, a servo shield with ir and bluetooth module and battery shield. They also released a sensor pack. So codes for that should also be available. Good luck with your projects!

the resistors in the pcb, they are include in the pcb or they cost apart?

The resistors are not included in the PCB. You need to get them apart and solder them.
Its a 330 Ohm resistors for the LEDs.

What battery is used for lithium 18650? If yes or do not damage the servo, the maximum current is 4.6 / 6volt if it's safe what i can use in my robot thank you

Awesome bro!i have never thought that i will make my own spider bot but after seeing your video i have started making my own bot :but there is a small that cost of shipping pcbs are to high that i cant afford to do.i have made my own body by using popstickle stick to reduce cost can you please make a connection on simple pcb board please it is a request🙂
Changing this to from bluetooth to "Cloud" or LAN and adding a camera/cellular module for remote viewing would be interesting to see.

For example take first element: {11, 12, 13} 11 pin femur, 12 pin tibia and 13 pin coxa?
What are the dimensions of the material used for body. And can this be build on a normal PCB.

Sorry for the late reply.
You can get the dimension of each part used in the robot body through the STL filed provided in the download link above. Just you need "Cura" software to run these files.
About the PCB yes you can make this project in a breadboard.

No need to seperate the servos power. I used some lithium batteries from an old laptop battery.. I used two pieces to get 6V DC

What dimensions are the screws that are used for attaching the s holds to the tibia and coxa?
i think they are 3mm in thickness and about 5mm in length (similar to the smaller ones that comes with the servo sg90)
but i used smaller and it worked( 1.4mm in thickness and about 4mm in length).

it probably doesn't walk properly, doesn't turn properly, doesn't work properly.. but as a youtuber you need to roll out the video.. so..
So I got the legs and everything to work but the legs move in the incorrect directions. Do I need to plug in the servo motors in a certain order?

Yes you can use a NodeMCU to make this robot but you need to adjust the PCB design since NodeMCU and Arduino nano doesn't have the same footprint.

Go to amazon or ebay,You will get them cheap and at times 2,4 or 6 packs for dirty cheap. Or you can get a higher volt battery and just use a converter or step down mod.
I get alot of my electronic's from both places to build ideas or customized Robotics for others.

hey , i just wanted to ask that this spider will move at any limit distance beacuse servos only rotate at 180 degree which mean when 180 degree is completed spider cannot move further
Hello this spider robot has four legs so it can move as long as it receives the commands from the android app which means that it could go for a distance of 10 meters at least.
