better than KA3? current IEM is s12 pro and HEXA for genre; rock, hip-hop, pop for S12 Pro lacking of soundstage, mids are recessed, treble bit bright. and HEXA have average soundstage, separation and mids but lacking bass. do you have recommendation?

I like the KA3 in terms of sound quality, as I can clearly feel the difference between the DAC chips. The ease of use of the KA13, such as volume adjustment, is attractive.

I have pretty much tried most of the Usb dacs featuring CS43131, I simply find it recessed in midrange the way you demonstrated in the video comparing KA5 and KA3. .I do own the KA3, it's the best sounding usb dac I own. CS 43131 simply sounds way too boring for me, especially vocal presentation. I am using KA3 with HD58X. I am searching for a nice usb dac for HD650, I have set my sight on Topping DX1. Any experience with AKM dacs?
I think "KA3" is a very good USB DAC if you can use FiiO Control and set up KA3. I have the impression that there are quite a few machines equipped with AKM's DAC chip. Among the ones I have, it is Shanling's "UA3" equipped with "AK4493SEQ". However, it may be difficult to use 300Ω headphones. In addition, FiiO's "K7" series is equipped with two of the same "AK4493SEQ". The amplifier is also made by THX. However, depending on your budget, I don't think it will come close to "DX1" in terms of price. The tone of "UA3" is different from "KA3", but it is one of my favorites just like "KA3". I feel that it has a soft and very delicate tone in the mid to high range.
Sorry, you have reviewed UA3 already! I missed it. I hate usb dacs which exhibit pop noise when plugging in or unplugging it. Had E1DA 9038D, horrible pop noise when plugging the usb dac to phone, sold it immediately.
I will comment on the comparison with KA5. I think there are likes and dislikes because the characteristics of the tone are different, and opinions differ depending on the individual. I don't like the treble characteristics of the KA5, so I prefer the KA13.

変更内容
１、音量制御モードを変更して、接続デバイス側とKA13側で独立して音量調節できる制御に変更
２、一部のミュートタイミングを最適化し、特定の携帯電話での再生時のPOP音やノイズの問題を改善
アップデート後の使用感
１、”iPhone14Pro”、”Pixel7a”共に音量調節制御が独立状態になり、最小音量不具合が解消されました。
２、”Pixel7a”での各操作時のノイズがかなり軽減されました。（皆無ではない）また、再生プレイヤー内操作時のノイズも、ほとんど気にならなくなりました。（短時間での検証ですが）
このアップデートで扱いやすくなりました。
how about comparing with Ibasso DC04 pro, since they are both using the same DAC chip.
