- NC State linebacker Payton Wilson had a season for the ages in his final year in Raleigh. Wilson stuffed the stat sheet weekly finishing the year with 138.0 tackles, 17.5 tackles for loss, 6.0 sacks, 3 interceptions and a forced fumble. These numbers earned him first-team All-ACC status, a First-Team AP All-American selection, and the coveted Butkus Award as the nation's most outstanding linebacker. This guy has a crazy motor! Hopefully he keeps it up in the NFL.
These LBs getting lighter and lighter to help with these explosive receivers, but we still need to show the run game some respect it’s not dead yet and teams are losing and getting knocked out of playoffs because of it, and not being able to stop it!
Dude is just an absolute beast and he tells you about it too. If he can stay injury free he'll be a pro bowler no doubt.

Solid LB but personally and I can be wrong but he needs to add weight to compete with NFL O-lines on the block sheds and tackling of RBs. Definitely a solid 2nd-3rd Rnd pick. Love the motor and drop backs in coverage

I get he looks thin but he’s also 6’4. And it’s not 2005 anymore, the league is full of 225lb LBs. He’s just another one. Great player, only flaw I see is he plays very high. Gotta fix that or he’s toast at the next level.
