    Love Brock's Bricks. One of my favorite brickink stores.

    The theme of today's episode is "Door rail pieces". I'm guessing you got some good tips off that two parter.

      Lol yes that two parter made me aware I didn't have enough door rails!

    I don't like the mech knees either, but they're perfect for a nice big circular staircase. Mount on an axle and round bricks. And I never thought about using them with the A's but there might be something to it.
    The wide door rail plates ( and I might have learned it by watching you) make great sliding doors. I made a sliding service window on my pizza trailer.
    And the half cylinders are the ones I wish had SNOT on them. The Vidiyo Cadillac set uses them as is with turntables for headlights. And I think they would look cool as part of a secret door or a ladder that hides in the wall. Both on turntables of course.
    You use those as French fries? What about yellow crystal pieces? Poking fun at McDonald's shrinkflation? LoL 🤣
    Those fishies are new to me too.
    I must be lucky because I got some of those cups in some bulk Lego.
    That brickish tile with the rounded corners are in a race care set I have. And it's a new piece this year I think.
    Man I wish I could identify the colors like that. Someone needs to develop a colorblindness app like the one I use that doesn't have a LEGO color name mode. I use colorblind PAL if anyone has any programming skill. It's basically a spectrograph that uses the phone's camera to measure the wavelengths of light. But different light signatures bouncing off different colored objects change what color things look like. And I honestly didn't know that colorsighted people experience that too. I have changeable color LED bulbs and can make pieces I know the color of look like completely different colors by changing the color of light hitting it. White for instance reflects all colors and can be pink, pale purple, lime green, dull yellow, light blue and even orange. No wonder people argue about what colors things are. My eyes lack Rods and cones so i just can't pick up a red looking Lego and guarantee it's red. I was thinking about making an appeal to the LEGO group, thinking it would be a great contest. And a good programmer could totally do it in a couple days. But some way to calibrate it to the lights signature would make it better than anything out there.
    To quote the guy on TV in Robocop, I'll buy that for a dollar!

    You can probably make a sink or urinal using the 1x2 half 2x2 rounds w/ hollow chamber, by mounting them on a wall and putting pipes underneath

    I mean that's a simple answer and I respect that. Understood have a nice day. Edit: That larger drawer piece is part 2656; container, cupboard/refrigerator 2 x 3 x 5. It is a new piece in the Lego inventory only just introduced in 2023 and is now as of now in only 13 sets. So Hopefully that will be in more sets in the future.

    the half circle pieces I've seen be used as tiny sinks. and the rounded corner ones are good for making a neatly made bed. pretty cool parts though

    i like the "mech knee" piece as its used in the mario/animal crossing sets, as a way to connect smaller sections of a build with a slight angle just for some visual variety. doesnt work too well on a big city or anything without a lot to incorporate it unfortunately

      You always can with some budgeting but Legos always just a leisure item because do you really need to be able to make your own d&d Castle no no you don't but you'll be able to afford it eventually I also shouldn't be able to afford it right now but I still have some pieces coming.

      I buy little bits at a time. This order was larger than normal for me. Buying bricks individually online sure cost less than buying sets in store!

    the “french fry” piece looks like a kitchen sponge
    also fyi if you get any brittle brown parts lego will replace all of them for free if you give them the element ID (found by clicking the colors button under images on bricklink) it’s a combined color + part code

    • @bricksculpt
      @bricksculpt  12 днів тому

      I like the sponge idea. How do you submit your brown pieces? That sounds cool.

      @@bricksculpt customer support email directly. I had over $1000 USD (valuation of the parts when replaced new, used they are a lot less) in brown parts replaced for free after explaining that I can provide proof I own the sets via photos. The only downside is you must get the element ids for each part manually, but if you open up excel and just export the brown parts from a site like rebrickable it will only take an hour or so to grab 500-600 diff element ids. They will eventually let you do it, as they consider the brittle brown issue a safety hazard and thus are willing to pay for customer support for it.

    Missed opportunity not ordering some "very light bluish grey" parts from that store. Expensive, yes, but still cheaper than sand red, and never came in sets.

      Next time lol never seen that color.

    There are bigger drawer pieces that should be able to fit in the top of those white cabinets

    • @bricksculpt
      @bricksculpt  21 день тому

      I did not know that. Do you know the part number?

    • @Albert-ru7ob
      @Albert-ru7ob 21 день тому +1

      @@bricksculpt my memory was incorrect, it’s actually a cupboard door not a drawer! The part number is 4533. I remember I had these in an iron man set a while back and it’s been a while since I’ve used them
      Idk if these would fit though because of the gap you mentioned

    • @Albert-ru7ob
      @Albert-ru7ob 21 день тому +1

      That’s really gonna bother me now because I have really specific memories of me using a larger drawer piece but apparently it never existed

    Yeah, keeping the parts in plastic isn’t so great for video. Just doesn’t look good.
    Nice haul.
