- Despite the multiple bans and sanctions on Huawei including the ban on chip production, Huawei still went ahead to create a chip for their latest Mate 60 pro which supports 5G and Ai at a very affordable price which got Washington upset.
I had to go to the Huawei store in Shenzhen, CHINA to see it for myself and share my views with you all.
As a foreigner living in China and experiencing the life, tech and development, this was a topic i had to share. Enjoy!

China imports what the other countries do best,and exports what China do best, it is the only way to keep the world economy going. unfortunately, the US is the one who is violating the WTO rule. The US forced China to be less dependent on the US technology, the Huawei Mate 60 pro is an example of that. This is just the beginning of what China can do to be self reliant.

It just happened, when the iPhone 15 released. Whole China bought it.
Two hundred years ago, China closed their doors to the world and tried to protect its economic/technological advantages, it failed miserably. It is a good lesson for the rest of the world, be more creative and innovative, stopping the rules. It is pretty bad when a county tries to attack a single company, it is even worse when that failed. Need to get smarter, collaborative with everyone, lithography from Holland, raw material from Japan... We need better smartphones!

America has been sabatoging socialist countries from day one so it's no wonder so many failed. Which begs the question of how many would have succeeded if only America had left them alone. There's a reason US placed sanctions on China. For one, look up the little or no human rights that exist in that country. Here's an example, look at what the CCP did to their own people during the flood that happened a couple weeks ago.

Everyone else was already evacuated before it got too high. The much more sparsely populated area was flooded to save a very crowded city. That's very smart in my opinion.
The reason the U.S. embargoed China after WW2 was because China kicked out all foreigners, didn't submit to the Unequal Treaty, became communist, and ended Western exploitations. What a country chooses as its form of government is no business of America.

I've had a Huawei phone for 7 years. The Honor and the P40 Pro. I hate Apple products not just their phones. I was forced to use one once by my employer and that's when I learned to hate it. Same with their Mac computers I found them buggy.. I think it just branding.

I'm all for huawei winning the revolution but the question is.. Is it really a good phone? I'm a tech nerd and I'm all about specs. I wanna see 1 inch sensors on a phone, a 4 or 3nm chip, ultra fast charging, cutting edge screen etc. And I saw the specs of this phone and it's great but they could've done better. I wanna see some top tier specs next year.
Due to sanctions from the United States, Huawei cannot be produced by TSMC for chips below 14nm. However, Huawei has collaborated with Chinese companies to produce 7nm chips (Huawei's chips were already 5nm three years ago), and has already made tremendous efforts. Due to the same sanctions, China is unable to purchase the most advanced EUV lithography machine and is currently working hard to develop it. In about 2 years, China will have its own EUV lithography machine, which will produce 3nm chips.
