This is actually really good! I'm surprised. Even though the animation is only focusing on the main characters and the rest is just so so, I was totally ignoring it, because the story, backgrounds, pacing and voice acting is so well done. Shen Qingqiu is just as funny as in the novel and soooooo beautiful. Why is he prettier than Liu Mingyan? Can't wait to see the rest!

I just got around to finishing Svsss. It was the last novel of mxtx's works that I hadn't read yet so I spedrun it in like, 3 days. Now it's time to watch the donghua, hehe. Mxtx is such a great author, I've practically devoured everything she has for content and the separate adaptations for each novel. Edit: Shen qingqiu is one of my all time favorite protagonists, his inner dialogue is so similar to how I think on a daily basis. He's so funny.

OK this is WAYYYYY better than I expected. I was prepared for a cringy straying from the plot adaptation but it's not like that at all. It sticks to the plot and SSQ is portrayal is as hilarious as the novel. I can't for more episodes!!
The voice actor for the MC did such an amazing job. He made the show way more funny bcoz of his skill. N the Chinese dialogue/script is hilarious. Some of d word choices are just chef kiss. The eng sub is slightly watered down bcoz of subtitling technicalities (there's a max word count per line n also literal translation is seen as bad in d translation field which is understandable but the downside is that the translation will miss lil interesting details).

Even though the animation is only focusing on the main characters and the rest is just so so, I was totally ignoring it, because the story, backgrounds, pacing and voice acting is so well done. Shen Qingqiu is just as funny as in the novel and soooooo beautiful. Why is he prettier than Liu Mingyan? Can't wait to see the rest!

I just got around to finishing Svsss. It was the last novel of mxtx's works that I hadn't read yet so I spedrun it in like, 3 days. Now it's time to watch the donghua, hehe. Mxtx is such a great author, I've practically devoured everything she has for content and the separate adaptations for each novel.
Edit: Shen qingqiu is one of my all time favorite protagonists, his inner dialogue is so similar to how I think on a daily basis. He's so funny.
I love this the introduction was so true and funny. I think the reason why novels like this are popular is because when they break the 4th wall and start saying some cliques it's funny because it's so true XD

The voice actor for the MC did such an amazing job. He made the show way more funny bcoz of his skill. N the Chinese dialogue/script is hilarious. Some of d word choices are just chef kiss. The eng sub is slightly watered down bcoz of subtitling technicalities (there's a max word count per line n also literal translation is seen as bad in d translation field which is understandable but the downside is that the translation will miss lil interesting details).
