Tmobile are not strict like at&t when using most unlocked phones. The unlocked phones have to be approved on at&t white list to be compatible with at&t and any prepaid carriers that use the at&t network. I used to work for cricket wireless and cricket wireless uses the at&t network and if the phone is not compatible with the at&t network that cricket wireless, the line/lines automatically get suspended until the sim card is put into a compatible device. I experienced it myself when my line got automatically suspended for putting a cricket wireless sim card in a not compatible unlocked phone. Customer service is the only way to restore the line when you provide the sim card number and imei number of the compatible phone that you want to use with cricket wireless. E-sims make using unlocked phones more difficult because the phone is not guaranteed to work with cricket wireless unless you risk inserting a non compatible device with the network than you know it won't work with the carrier. With e-sims, when working for cricket wireless, there was alot of trouble shooting involved and the only option was to use a physical sim card as long as the iPhone 15 models was not the u.s. models since cricket wireless requires using the qr code. There were too many issues with the qr code not working when trying multiple times, the qr code would even say that the qr code has already been used when the qr code was not even scanned on the iPhone and the qr code does not work with an iPad since I have already tried that and the qr code only works with the iphones. Starting with the iPhone 10 and newer cricket wireless is required to use the qr code to activate the e-sim. The only other option would be using a physical sim iPhone 15 would be like the iPhone 15 bought from China and it's unlocked to work with u.s. carriers to use the physical sim card slot instead of using the e-sim when all the trouble shooting methods have not worked when the same issues happen multiple times even when running on the most current version of ios. I have unlocked phones that are no longer compatible with cricket wireless anymore ever since at&t shut down there 3g network and at&t has gotten stricter when trying to use unlocked phones on there network. I have to use tmobile or any prepaid cell phone service provider that uses the tmobile network in order to continue to use my older unlocked android phones that are no longer compatible with the at&t network.
@@sakitechUnlocked means little if it doesn't have the band support. This phone has 6 of the possible 11 5g bands and 9 of the possible 15 4g bands, so it'll depend on what carrier you have as to how good your experience will be. Verizon and AT&T customers would be fine with this device on 5g in the US (as those carriers broadcast on the bands that this phone uses/has), while it would only be able to use 4g on most other carriers (including T-Mobile), which is still plenty fine for phone calls. If someone is concerned with gaming/content/DL speeds, there's this thing called WiFi, which it also allows at the highest standard available presently, 7(be).
Hey Sakitech, good morning to you. I'm so glad you gave this phone the attention it so rightly deserves. I'm not a gamer, but I can't wait to get this phone. I like the fact that it has not a cutout or a ugly notch taking up space. Do you know where in the states this phone can be purchased? I'm definitely going to purchase one. Have a blessed day Sakitech.
Other brands need to do better and make the rear of their phones completely flat like this. They also should be able to hide the front camera. 8 love the design and a very good video.

Not great. It's actually pretty bad. Jerry Rig everything showed some samples. I'd rather have no front camera or at least a fully hidden useless camera.
red magic isn't just a normal gaming phone with triggers, it's packed with ton of feature that are extremely useful for gaming like ai driving, toggle extra scope zoom, outline filters and many more hence why its banned in esport competitions
I’ve never understood the infatuation with the external case. What’s the first thing you do when getting a new phone, put a protective cover on it. You can’t see the case anymore. I suppose you can pop it out of the cover whenever you want to impress someone with your cool looking phone.
I saw the headphone jack and I was sold!! This has all the old functions that I love! an IR blaster for a remote is almost lost tech at this point in phones.
Another thing, this would be the ultimate phone if they included vent covers. The fan doesn't really need to be on all the time - only when doing intensive tasks such as gaming, and for that you would actually slide open the vent covers for all the fan air intake-outtake process. Add this, and it would make me switch from my s23u in a heartbeat
@user-ul6ht9sr4w that's exactly what I was thinking when he mentioned the fans/ports on the phone. Dust (& other stuff) will get inside the phone & cause problems.
That fan and/or grill is going to clog up with dust and fail in no time, then it overheats and breaks. The vents are also where most people would hold the phone, and what happens when it's in your pocket or other storage.
Not really, it has a wire mesh and separate air duct . Same cooling as other phones meaning it will suck out heat and dissipate over the surface just like any phone 🤳 but this add the benefits of turning on/off a fan when in a controlled environment 🎉 can use a widget, toggle from status bar or game center . Turns off when phone is locked. 🤙 That's a weird way to hold the phone all the way at the top of the sides where vol buttons usually go lol with phone coolers like their cooler 5 Pro SIGNIFICANTLY cools off the phone doing 36w/ 25w cooling. It's not enormous either(slightly larger than my Galaxy buds case) plus it has magsafe to attach.
Seems like there is more in your review about what it looks like and what a bunch of lights do and less on how it works. What is more important - form or function?
That redmagic is meant for people that wants a phone focused on really heavy games and emulation or else this phone is useless basically if you're not a hardcore gamer thats a bad deal but if the person in question loves to play everything i wouldn't go for a s24 since that RDM 9 pro will certainly have better performance on heavy games as it always have been since redmagic 7
Saki I love your videos and it's a great phone for people who like to game on their phone. I would like Samsung to implement something glitzy like that in their design, at least a choice of FG animations....thanks for letting us know about this phone. I can always recommend it to friends or acquaintances.
What cellphone providers will let you use it? A few years ago I bought 2 Leiga X-Series "World phones" and the only provider would let me use it was AT&T and their service was horrible. These phones had 2 SIM card slots and upgradeable memory.
Hey Saki, thanks for bringing this phone into the light. I have a pair of Rokid Max AR glasses which will only work with phones that have otg charging port. Does this phone have that option?
Nice look but a strong pass , my samsung s22 ultra is tough to beat and most likely get s24 , iphone and samsung rules the phone industry because top to bottom its incredible, someone has to step up in style and future advance tech , like get a jump on iphone and samsung . Im no fanboy to samsung ,i just like the best and when a company can trump the two then im on there wagon.
curious... if it has fans, vents and exhausts, carrying it in your pocket could case fuzz and dust to get sucked in and reduce venting in the pocket wouldn't it?
Samsung will surpass that phone in everything, the camera ,the display, everything, because the thing with Samsung is the amount Of things that come with the phone that overshadow others
Hey I have had the same question. Did some digging and it's only currently working forT-Mobile in the US. Verizon said that they are in the process of making available for their customers. I heard and read that for AT&T if you take your old Sim from the phone you use now and switch it to the redmagic some people Said it worked just not for 5g. They still got 4gLTE and such but with it being a Japanese phone the 5g isn't connecting right with US towers that's why most companies can't cover it. I hope this kinda helped I'm only just now reading up and digging in on it. So if I find out I can let you know. I know for a fact Verizon is in the process of making it available for their customers. Not sure about the rest. Now this phone is blowing up fast so I don't think it will be long before all have it but it's coming.

That would be better than the Samsung Galaxy S23 FE, which costs the same before any discounts!
Hard to add water resistance when you have a cooling fan lol
I’ve been using iPhone since 2017 and found them easy to use and very reliable, however in recent years I’ve been buying phones for family members who don’t want an iPhone and a friend introduced me to the Redmi phones and I can say this if I need an android for my personal use I will definitely buy a Redmi over a samsung galaxy any day, they are very versatile durable and they do compare favorably with many androids today, this one you review just now I would definitely buy.
Redmi sucks
I ordered one on Friday because I love the design and the fact it has a headphone jack.
It came in last night and now that I have everything set the way I want it I love it
how is it so far?@@kylewagenaar5786
@@kylewagenaar5786 How's your phone doing? That's a pretty cheap price for everything. I love headphone jacks still. The main thing I dont like is a fan. Seems like another point of failure that will definitely fail, but who knows when.
@@HaOsLsE it's doing great. The fan is just for extra cooling in games and has enough cooling that it runs fine without it.
@@kylewagenaar5786 wow, quick reply lol. So it only comes on while gaming? I dont game so that may be ok then. Thanks for letting me know.
Good device but in my opinion for a day to day usage and functionality the S23 ultra is still way better than it bro there is something about S. Pen...
What OS updates do they offer
Windows 95.🤣🤣
None
It have air intake and exhaust? Kindly turn on the ac, hope it's blow cold sometimes and warm, and hope it can do 200mph in 60sec, what's the top speed?
22,000 RPM
This phone is very intriguing. My question is, will US phone carriers accept this phone?
It’s unlocked, so just shove in the sim. I know ATT and T Mobile support it.
In canada it would be rogers/fido/chatr. And perhaps freedom/videotron/fizz .
@flossycarter gone love this phone... Can't wait to see his review since it checks all his blocks!
I'm also waiting on Flossy Carter's review his reviews are so in depth that they are the only ones I trust.

I like the fact that it lies flat on the table - no camera bump!
@@DavidPaulMorgan I agee...you can lay this phone down without it wobbling, another feature to like about this phone.
Other brands need to do better and make the rear of their phones completely flat like this. They also should be able to hide the front camera. 8 love the design and a very good video.
Even one plus failed this, they had that cool popup camera, I never used it because I don't need a front camera. But they decided to go hole punch because iphone.....
Skipped the one thing that I was super curious about. What is the quality of photos taken with the under display front facing camera like?
Not great. It's actually pretty bad. Jerry Rig everything showed some samples. I'd rather have no front camera or at least a fully hidden useless camera.
im in love with that new design. This will be my next phone to upgrade my oneplus 8t
What's a one plus 8t
@@lockandloadlikehellits a similar gaming phone like the one in this video
buying phones is not all about hardware, the priority were the software and UI
There's no game my Galaxy S23 ultra won't play smoothly.
Tried many of them. none of them was any trouble.
red magic isn't just a normal gaming phone with triggers, it's packed with ton of feature that are extremely useful for gaming like ai driving, toggle extra scope zoom, outline filters and many more hence why its banned in esport competitions
I’ve never understood the infatuation with the external case. What’s the first thing you do when getting a new phone, put a protective cover on it. You can’t see the case anymore. I suppose you can pop it out of the cover whenever you want to impress someone with your cool looking phone.
I wish these kind of phones also have long term software support
I saw the headphone jack and I was sold!! This has all the old functions that I love! an IR blaster for a remote is almost lost tech at this point in phones.
Nice, I hope it has 5 years or 4 years of sofware update and 5 years security update it would be unfair if they just give 2 years as they normally do🙄
That's the problem..thats why the Xiaomi phones..this phone don't match up..no 5 years of updates.
@@MickiesheltonXiaomi flagships have increased the support to 4 years. At least the 13T has so likely to continue with the 14 pro etc.
Wireless charging isn't a big deal but Water resistivity and Gorilla Glass Victus protection was essential...
An air exchange system into the internals of the phone seems like a DTF scenario. Or an issue with overheating when it becomes clogged.
When do we start seeing actual upgrades to Samsung phones
The design is lit! 🔥 The flat display is really really good!❤
Another thing, this would be the ultimate phone if they included vent covers. The fan doesn't really need to be on all the time - only when doing intensive tasks such as gaming, and for that you would actually slide open the vent covers for all the fan air intake-outtake process. Add this, and it would make me switch from my s23u in a heartbeat
I wish that s24 ultra had an music /gaming version. Without spen. U get an headphone jack.
whats the footage looking like with that under display camera? does it look like the hazy photos with lense protectors?
Solid Galaxy s23 ultra and iphone series
Not waterproof, for me a no go. I'll stay with Samsung.
What got me thinking, are little dust or pocket dust can get inside the fans? Is this phone even water resistance?
It does not have water resistance.
Would make an awesome gaming ohone but all around wouldn't pick it over the s23u
Me neither...it has a fan? Can you Imagine the dust and a squeaking noise after a few months?..
@user-ul6ht9sr4w that's exactly what I was thinking when he mentioned the fans/ports on the phone. Dust (& other stuff) will get inside the phone & cause problems.
@@cancorp29 Yea, Asus did it better, the fan was an ad - on !
@cancorp29 yes...from pocket and bags. And it is not dust resistant....very contradictory
Don't need a gaming phone just one that takes great pictures and videos
That fan and/or grill is going to clog up with dust and fail in no time, then it overheats and breaks. The vents are also where most people would hold the phone, and what happens when it's in your pocket or other storage.
Not really, it has a wire mesh and separate air duct . Same cooling as other phones meaning it will suck out heat and dissipate over the surface just like any phone 🤳 but this add the benefits of turning on/off a fan when in a controlled environment 🎉 can use a widget, toggle from status bar or game center . Turns off when phone is locked. 🤙
That's a weird way to hold the phone all the way at the top of the sides where vol buttons usually go lol with phone coolers like their cooler 5 Pro SIGNIFICANTLY cools off the phone doing 36w/ 25w cooling. It's not enormous either(slightly larger than my Galaxy buds case) plus it has magsafe to attach.
Wow, it even vacuums the lint and dust out of your pockets!
Maybe it doubles up as water pump too?
Might be a grill but assuming there is an exhaust it would get pushed back out...maybe?
Seems like there is more in your review about what it looks like and what a bunch of lights do and less on how it works. What is more important - form or function?
There's some nice things about this design and I love that it has a headphone jack, but I love my S23 Ultra and I'll be switching to the S24.
Does Saki only have 1 hand?

I would use the v.s sight to compare. Samsung and Apple haven't really had any major improvements to their phones since 2019.
How's their reliability on Android Updates and Security Patches?
That phone comes with everything you will ever need! Including a CCP back door.
curious... if it has fans, vents and exhausts, carrying it in your pocket could case fuzz and dust to get sucked in and reduce venting in the pocket wouldn't it?
Nice looking phone 👍👍
Will it be available in the UK? I can probably get it from the US, but would be easier if it was locally available.
nobody tell Razer...
Samsung will surpass that phone in everything, the camera ,the display, everything, because the thing with Samsung is the amount Of things that come with the phone that overshadow others

Would like to know if it has all the at&t bands both LTE and 5G which I doubt but would like to add this device to my collection
Will that work in the US on AT&T? Also is that a 4K front facing selfie camera?
Its more like a premium gamer smartphone. I still prefering the s23 Ultra, waiting egerly the s24 ultra for buy.
GREAT WORK SAK! OUTSTANDING AS ALWAYS! THANK YOU VERY MUCH!
Basically the design of the upcoming s24u
What kind of warranty and tech support does this phone have in the US?
Made in China ? 🤣Even if it's not...I'm keeping my Samsung !
Redmagic is owned by Chinese company Nubia and based in Shenzhen.
Every phone is made in China... are you dumb ?
How is the update policy? Any bloatware?
So the fan intake in going to suck tons of dust over the phones lifetime. Swell.
Well the last one they also had a fan, but it didn't really pose a problem
Cooling fans draw air away, so they blow hot air out they don't draw air in.
So is there any carrier in the USA that is compatible with it?
One that supports all of it's network capabilities?
It does look good, can't deny that. Decent features but how long does the battery last though. Say if just listening to music or gaming. 8hrs? 6 hrs?

Yeah that's kind of my thoughts too but man if it performs as advertised....

Do you know what carriers does this phone works with?
I would get it just for the headphone jack. Does it have a built in DAC ?
I'm so glad you too put this in my feed I will now be saving up for this
Is this actually available in the US? Or is it a "banned substance" by order of the FDA or the Commerce Department?
how many years of firmware updates does this model offer?
Would have been nice to tell us thr name of the phone and how to purchase it and who from?😢
3.5mm jack oh my gosh, the only feature I actually care about in a sea of phones that are all fast enough, Is the DAC any good though?
Are there any games pre-installed?
How about camera in comparison to Pixels and Samsung?? This is definitely a flagship but not a complete flagship... No Android can beat this in terms of technical aspects of under display camera , modes , cooling system, design but when it comes to camera sadly this gets a hit!
I'm waiting for my Red Magic 9 pro to arrive, this will be my first gaming phone and I'm excited. My current phone is the Z Fold 3(needs repair due to loose connections inside that made the inner screen and my cameras to stop working), before that I've been pretty loyal with Samsung from S7 Edge and S9 plus, and waaaaay back I had a Note II. My wife and my siblings all have iphones, but I just get frustrated with how archaic windows and iOS work interact especially with downloading, transferring, and uploading work files.
How long ago did you order it? And was it from the Nubia website? Have you gotten it yet? I just ordered mines a couple of hours ago from there. Hoping to get it in the next 3 to 7 days here in the U.S.
Incredible. But will it run Lineageos with that Snapdragon?
Finally a phone without that annoying camera hole on the front.
Additional points for not having that lump on the back camera.
IP rating is no problem as i don't plan to use my phone in a swimming pool.
Flagship performance for half the price.
It's suits all my needs.
Metal frame is cool, don't have to worry about cracked frames. I don't use phone protectors for storage comfort in my pockets.
Display type? OLED or LCD?
the design has that scifi andclassic vintage 80s vibes for some reason
