Great job! Thanks for turning that "this sounds like that other song" feeling into a reality for all of us.
“Go home and be a fusion jam”
You can never really have too much T-square I. Your life, great remix
Ayyy
oh yea
😂😂😂😂
This is fucking fantastic. As a TSquare fan and as someone who played SF2 as a kid when it first came out in arcades, this is a dream come true.
It all comes full circle 🔵
I've never heard of T-Square, but if this Japanese musical group has a smooth-jazz song that's similar to Guile's legendary stage BGM from the _Street Fighter 2_ games, especially one based on the CPS2 rendition of it, they must be worth checking out. Needless to say, sir, you've made another banger remix/cover here out of one of my favorite Capcom musical systems as well as one of my favorite arcade hardware systems. Keep up the good work!
Well, it's the other way around. T-Square's "Travelers" was out a few years before SF2. The composer for Guile's theme was heavily influenced by this song.
Guile’s theme is an obvious ripoff of t square song
The original guile theme doesn't emulate this arrangement, but the SSF one does.
TSquare isn't smooth jazz my friend, but Jazz Fusion. Remember, this song came out in 1984, many years before Guile's theme in 1991.
this is honestly gonna be the best of both worlds and I fucking love it
good job man
Thank you for doing this!
Nice Remix.☺️

1:24 is when it goes full Guile

Aww, I thought it was gonna be the Mario one. Although this one still sounds great so I'm not complaining too much.
There's a Mario one?
Where
@@setsers1 The release that inspired the SMB Overworld theme?
This specific track inspired Guile's Theme which makes much more sense.
"Sister Marian" inspired Super Mario Bros. "Overworld theme"
@@corrinflakes9659 I mean now you say that it literally sounds like that, similar instrumentation and all. Thanks for the info, added everything to my playlist.
Wow
So I were not the only one realizing of this....

Nah, it still doesn't sound like Guile's theme. His is more upbeat, and less jazzy. Any slight similarity is just a coincidence. This has more in common with Wolverine's Marvel Super Heroes vs Street Fighter theme:

Obviously this is open to interpretation, but the Guile's theme is clearly influenced by T-Square song, just compare section by section and you will find the resemblance. Is also known that T-Square has served as source of inspiration to a lot of OST's from japanese retro games. Jazz fusion music was heavily used in japanese games from 90s until earlies 2000s.
