    A spectacular event, especially with the historical means of transport and an exploding cannon.

    Enjoyed watching that, great video, They always say that even the small ones can pack a punch as well as a big one, that was proved by the little cannon, why do we all worry about size....... Thanks chaps a joy to watch.

    They may have either used too much, or used too fine a grade for the little cannon. The finer the grade (smaller the granules) the more surface area, and thus a more violent explosion occurs.

    Was the load to heavy for the table to handle ?

    Epic, I own a 1943 Ford GPW Jeep and regularly do displays but because of Australias gun laws we cant have any Blank Firing weapons so everything has to be deactivated.

    I own and fire black powder artillery. You must treat even blank loads with great care. The cannon is as big a threat to an inattentive gunner as it is to a target.

    I wouldn't have said it exploded. It was probably loaded a bit too hot and it just propelled itself backwards off the table. Impressive kick to it though haha

    Firing that Chinese Gimpy from the shoulder standing up and your shoulder is toast, remember a chap wanting to try it with a Bren, a similar calibre and role gun and he got quite injured and the gun was uncontrollable and lucky it was only firing blanks as he would have shot up half the people on the range at Shoreham. With something like that Chinese gun, you created a firing hook or ledge which you got your feet locked into and you lay on your belly with the thing on something solid and your shoulder into the butt. Still think the best British gun was the silenced Sten, totally evil little smg hehe

    • @dodgydruid
      @dodgydruid 7 років тому

      Quite enjoyed the guns, the bigger pieces, was in the artillery so learned a lot about 'em and even used to fire off the cannon at Woolwich on special events, noticed the gunners weren't sponging out which is dangerous putting a powder bag into a hot barrel, inside are usually glowing brightly little shreds of the previous bag and wadding so what u do is using a sponge on the end of your pikestaff put the sponge soaking in and out as that cools the guns down too.

    1) the gun never "exploded"2) this is a stunt that has been done with the same table for years3) the table is designed to collapse under the recoil of the cannon.Apart from the lack of facts a good video of the stunt.

    Cute. How would you like to do it for real? Would you fly to America? Then make plans now to be in Knob Creek Kentucky on July 4th 2018. You can even go up in a Huey and machine gun cars filled with petrol. And at night, every fourth round is a tracer. Google it and let me know. See you there.

      I'm thinking about getting a Martini Henry but the laws are so murky , it's .22 so could it be used as an air rifle , or is it compatible with air rifle .22 rounds

    Too bad in the UK one cannot easily shoot nor own firearms.

    • @TheSalcakes
      @TheSalcakes 7 років тому

      Its not "too bad" - It's common sense, much of the population are too stupid to be trusted with a weapon such as a gun. Your second amendment is a disgustingly out of date ideal, bullied into you by NRA yeehaws.
