This brings back memories of a friend of mine that just passed away, we heard this on an essential mix in the early nineties though a little slower and played it to death in our bedrooms, quality tune, RIP Matthew Pepper, never forgotten mate, we will be there in the next couple of weeks for your memorial mate don't you worry :) x i've still got the tune in the loft...
@trip2themoon I can confirm this track is playing at the correct speed. Though you might want to check out "Sweetness and Light", which was similar but a few of the remixes were slower...
Thank you John Ferris for playing this on city express 1993 2SER FM and it was part of Justin Robertson's collection of mixes including Universal Hymn by boxcar. Sydney raves were the bomb back then and music. Oxford street actually had decent clubs in fact all of CBD did.
yah yeah.....Hothouse then the IceBox. Marty Butler and Andrew James at 5am completely Knackered with progressive gems like Universal hymn.....nice mems ! Radio Dex......2SER.....3D World...the go to's......
I recently found this on Ebay and about a day before it ended the seller removed it. I felt sick. I hope I don't have to wait another 17 years to find a copy.
Story Anto, are you well? Great track, never got this on vinyl - keen to know also if this was pitched up for recording as I was only used to it much slower on mixes.
OMG I can't believe I finally found this. I'd been spelling it Itchy and Scratchy. I fell in love with this when I first heard it in Justin Robertson's 1994 Essential Mix, Though it was played much slower. Thanks AntoH. Just 1 small question: Was this played on a zero pitch or did you speed it up a little?
Replace one life with another? We take one life for another? I've tried changing the pitch to try and make the words clearer. Still can't work out what's said other than: Take you to the point of no return.
Loved this song so much when it came out , early 90’s Sydney rave scene ❤, even now at 52 still listen to brighten my day!
'Augment one life with another' ;)
