- Every Sunday at dawn, owners gather across Guyana to proudly show and exhibit their birds and face them against each other in whistling competitions. These are Guyana’s speed-singing contests -a centuries-old tradition where male finches are placed in cages next to each other as judges count the number of chirps they emit in the span of five minutes. Inside Edition Digital’s Stephanie Officer explains why it's so popular.

If the world had more tweets from finches and far less tweets from Twitter, it would be a much nicer place to live in.

Oh skunt !
Fun fact: Guyana has 45% Indian population because I remembered mistaking a female Guyanaian-American for Indian (a native from India) back in 2018 at the funeral by saying Namastē to her which is Hindi for hello due to the similarities between a Guayanaian and an Indian because they both have tan skin colors.
Yeah with 6 races its a given 😅... we're called Guyanese btw lollll Guyanaian made me laugh lolll
@@donnieldavid9795 oops! My bad! Would both Guyanese and guyanaian be acceptable to call the locals in Guyana and French Guiana?
@@anthonyguarino4242 honestly I have no idea what French Guiana national name is ... but ours is Guyanese
@@donnieldavid9795 oh ok. Guyanese then. Have a great life in your country!
