Quick look at the MULIG indoor/outdoor drying rack from IKEA. It costs US$24.99 in the US, but in Hong Kong its only about US$19.
Let's see how stable it is outdoors in the wind! Will it fall over?

its should be stable outdoor specially if its filled with clothes as the weight itself (from the clothing) will act as tie down to the floor. I think the only issue is the base as the contact to the floor is on the corners of the steel and not the entire face of the base metal however its an easy fix if your a DIY kind of a dad.

we got some sand bags now and it helps even in the highest of winds.
but yeah its only a problem if you have some big, dried out towels and its windy.

Just one quick question: if I don’t wanna use these 2 wings, is that possible for me to put them aside when assembling? Now I want to use this rack indoor where quite small so I do not need wings. But when to put outdoor, yes.

If I recall its all pre-assembled. i don't know how easy it is to remove them. better to just fold them back in when using in a confined space I think.

yes, should be strong enough, but should put some weights on it if its windy.
