It can deal damage for a very good time after the button press, and it works like a charm against other melee users; they literally run into the hitbox, because the 3rd person doesn't show the animation accurately. Just prefire the Machete before they attack, and You're set. My additional reccomendations: Sai, very good for quick and precise attacks, easily punished for missing. Butterfly Knife: Has a very useful hitbox, and its diamond camo has different looks if You have some epic blueprints.

I was on snd in coastal yesterday and the opponent planted on B, all 4 were standing there shooting my teammates, as we were about the lose that round I pulled out my prizefighters( I usually dont use them) and killed them all. Next round one of my teammate got killed by melee and wrote melee bot in the chat and the opps were raging like hell. We won the match tho, thats what matters the most.
Your editing is gold I'm relatively new to the game, so, when is melee abuse? Is using it in a opportunity (when you run out of bullets in the middle of a gunfight/in too close range) abuse, or you have to carry it as your only attack to be considered as such? I love the shadow blade special skill tho, it's so much fun

It's like the crossbow where the projectile will drop so u gotta aim higher and its not perfectly centered so u need to find the exact crosshair placement depending on the range
