What a cliffhanger… litterally and figuratively. Looking forward for part II
A map doesn't stop u from being lost at sea. As there are no landmarks, its impossible to tell where you are, even with a map. You need a sextant to judge your position based on the stars. This with a map can tell your position. But I think the point he made was that no one had ever been beyond the coral sea, so there would be no map.
I think he did miss something. When he first walks into the water, a section of the rocks gets a circle on it and he doesn’t stop to pick it up. And later another rock on the island also does the same thing,

I agree. There was enough to make more. A spear. Maybe a Kimberley Glass point spear. Maybe a rudder ( because of how the shape of one plank was) plus a stick to make this rudder that also 3 more sticks to make a tripod to hold this type of rudder - \_
The oar technique pained me, but you got there eventually. Beautiful game for a free game with some mechanics even if only required by the story teller

Or worst. Look, I’m sure he is a fantastic drive in real life, but in his play through of “L.A. Noir” ua-cam.com/video/XSj9bu8mqfY/v-deo.html I wouldn’t let him remote control my car. It is hit everything in sight … like the last 1/3 of the car chase in “To Live and Die in L.A.” ua-cam.com/video/VOK9QW21VPo/v-deo.html (the first 2/3rd are slightly boring until the last 1/3rd that makes it one of the greatest chase scenes ever fulmed), or the literally hit everything in sight car chase scene in “The Rock” ua-cam.com/video/DBCGkanWm68/v-deo.html . (Kudos to both directors John Frankenheimer (also “The French Connection”) and Micheal Bay to put fresh spins on car chases). It wouldn’t be a bad idea for a VR game segment to play both sides of those chases..

there is a sword you can find on the island and spyglass and compass plus think what a spear needs as well as flesh eating beasts aka crabs
I would have tried to to have one side of the paddle to be attached to a glass shard instead so it was a paddle and a spear

Its better u talk while u play . A silent play is painful and I can feel it , water and heights are not as easy in vr as we see it on tv .. fun and pain at the same time 😅

I love the moon separatists reference to “Vertigo 2” you did in there Captain Jack Sparrow/Robinson Crusoe/Humphrey Van Weyden (of Jack London’s “The Sea Wolf”)/Micheal Reynolds (“The Blue Lagoon”)/Chuck Nolan (“Cast Away”)/Ben Gunn (Treasure Island)/Pi (“Life of Pi”)/Alec Ramsey (“The Black Stallion”)*. Did you noticed that the beginning key/island looked a lot like the little spit of land that Caption Jack Sparrow was marooned on in “Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl”?
* every one of these movies and classic books have a section where the main character is marooned or castaway on an island. And yes, I did think of “Gilligan’s Iskand”, “The Lord of the Flies”, and “The Swiss Family Robinson”.
I think instead of another paddle you could have made a rudder.

I have an idea. I don’t know if it will work and I got this off of the “Pirates of the Caribbean: the curse of the Black Pearl” for Nintendo Gameboy Advanced, we’re the first enemy is Crabs. Jack was using his sword to flip them over and then kill them. Their weak spot is on the bottom. Think you were supposed to use a spear or glass knife or to create a spear with the glass shards, rope, and a stick to flip them over and then stab them with the spear. at their under belly. Let me know if it works.
Can you please tell me if it is possible in the game settings to make the movement of the character not teleportation but normal ???
