I've considered the idea but it's an incredibly difficult task and it may not hit well in terms of sales because of the enormous quantity of extra pieces required 😕
@@giamax74 I would also buy the rebrickable instructions, or at the very least watch a more detailed tutorial video (x100) on building the various un-official areas 😄
Hey, that looks really great! I’m not a Harry Potter fan but I love this set and I have it at home, the way you continued it is awesome! I really enjoyed watching this video, my favorite builds are the beach and Hagrid’s hut well done, sir!👏
Gorgeous and inspiring model! I think I would consider adding 2 more rows of studs along the back for a total of 2 baseplates (64 studs) and use that extra bit to fill in transition to the forbidden forest! But all in all, this is stunning work with such amazing attention to detail! Bravo!
What an outstanding build. I appreciate the research almost as much as the build as I love to see curiosity and ingenuity combined and expressed in such a complete and well thought out piece of work. Fantastic reference and building, I salute you.
I love my Hogwarts Castle and grounds and won't be trying any improvements, but I'm so in awe of what you've accomplished 👏👏👏👏👏 I will definitely watch this again, pausing and studying with the model in front of me, so I can better understand exactly what you've done! PS I *might* be tempted just to realign the boathouse 😛
I'm glad you liked it, thank you very much. I think this could be the ultimate display model for adult HP fans 😂 I'm personally going to cover it with a dedicated display glass case 🤩 P.S. You should definitely give the boathouse mod a take!
Wow what a coincidence I just visited the HP studio tour in Tokyo recently so I was happy to see this video in my feed. You did a fantastic job here. The redesign is stunning!
Brilliant work. I’ve seen multiple expansion ideas for this Lego set roaming online. I think this one is the best as its so true the source material. Hat’s off for the micro Quidditch pitch, great design.
Beautifully done. I'm still hoping there's a secondary model released that can attach to the existing microscale model, but that's probably not going to happen. I love the Quidditch pitch and the wooden bridge. I appreciate you showing the digital design to explain the bridge.
Absolutely incredible work. Thank you for the detailed explanation as well. I think this was the perfect length to showcase all the great work you did.
Wow wonderful design and build. I completed something very similar last year, Almost exactly the same finished size, settled on the same oval design and I think exact same dimensions fitting into studs below for the quidditch pitch. Used different hinge plates. Your design is overall much better than mine, for example SNOT on the quidditch lawn to get narrower striping (I just used studs on top 1x plates). Brilliant work!
Great work. I have only done minor upgrades to my model. I added a few studs in height to the astronomy tower to make it visually stand out more. It is supposed to be the tallest tower in Hogwarts but in the Lego modell it is only slightly taller than the staircase tower.
@@croissantconnoisseur6855 thank you mate. The Astronomy Tower is actually slightly taller than the Staircase tower but yes, making it slightly taller to mark more this difference is a good solution.
This is so cool! I tired to do something like this a year back or so, I wish this existed back then! It’s a shame the actual set doesn’t include the back half like this model does, since that would’ve made an already great set perfect imo.
This looks amazing. Very nice additions! I like the original lego set, but these additions make it even better, looking more complete. It really enables you to appreciate the build the same way from all angles. Instructions being available would be lovely, but I understand that it might be a lot of work. However, the set has been around for quite some time, so there might be quite a lot of potential buyers, if the additional pieces can be gotten at a reasonable price. You have added about 100% area to the original piece... is it possible at all to get the extra necessary pieces for ~$150-$200?
@@sebastianjost thank you very much sebastian. If instructions were ever to be published I think the price for the extra pieces would be around that amount. Maybe something more
id suggest you look at mould kings magic castle and remember that it came out years ago. Its an Amazing Architecture Scale Model of the Hogwarts Grounds.
@@aidenvanloenen2183 I have considered the idea but, besides being an incredibly tedious and difficult task, it may not hit well because of the enormous amount of extra pieces required 😅
You did a great job showing how you build some of the MOCs on the Lego set. I will try some of them over the Weekend. There is a non official set from a Chinese brand of the Hogwarts grounds. I like the way Lego chose only the front half part for display on a shelf. I think that's how most people display it anyway.
I also modified it a little to add the Quidditch Pitch, but I simply used the GWP one that came with this Hogwarts C&G set when it just came out. It has fewer viewing stands, but that's fine. I love what you did with the rest of the build, though keep in mind that the castle at the studio is the movie-version, the one from Hogwarts Legacy is more book-accurate, and the LEGO set is somewhat in between the two.
@@Voxdalian thank you mate. By the way I think that the real hogwarts castle people mostly relate to is the one from the movies, it's more recognazible of course. The castle in the game is similar but it has some features that almost no one takes into account

I did always wanted the original set (especialy as I was amazed by somebodys creation of the second half with second box of parts) but I will never have space for that so this scale was great but again was missing second part :D :/ ... This is sadly also too large again for me (yet) but there is some chance I will eventually be able to accomodate it and it would be awesome to have instructions I could save for that ocassion (sadly it will be still pain and pricy probably to get all the parts necessary :( but it would be atleast something to aspire I guess). I would love to see some changes tho - those extra trees needs some variety as the green icecream top is stretched beyond its limits at that point in my opinion :) ... and mainly that cutout needs to be still accessable as it has interior - I would suggest to make the base detachable using those black lego technic holed 1x12 or whatever it was and some pins or so so it can remain modular when you want to open it. (maybe even add more interier? - where is that large map chamber from PC game btw? :) )
My roommate has the original set and well, I would love to add this extension to it, so that we have a great collaborative piece for the living room! I would absolutely love if you could release the instructions and a rebrickable list, or something similar.
Thank you! Anyway, I've got my UCS X-Wing MOC on Rebrickable and I've sold 14 copies only (I'm not complaining at all, let's be clear) but considering the high number of people asking for those instructions, at the end of the day only 14 bought them and few people are actually building that model. This model requires a lot of pieces to order and of course, if I were to publish instructions for this, the price would be doubled in comparison to that model. The work to make instructions for this would be gigantic. I should first build it on the digital program (which requires at least 3-4 months) and then organize instructions that would be extremely long. I should have a high number of people promising to buy them, otherwise I would only waste my time on them to sell just few copies.
@@stephanechetrit5695 well I used some parts from my inventory and some parts ordered from the lego website such as the pyramid roof pieces for the houses towers. Yes! I really don't understand their policy of always cutting everything. What's the point? Even the previously released big Hogwarts in micro scale is not complete, it's about 1/3.
