Clearest video I’ve seen of this method. After trying it a few times, it was much faster than the “shirt folding” hinged plastic aid I’ve used for decades. Thanks!
This is very helpful! The mark of a great comment is one that can read simply and effectively. You got it! Thanks for this! Oh yes, and grass is green.
😊😊I started folding this way and it greatly cut my folding time. I even started watching videos on fast folding other things. I wish i had found this years ago.
My girlfriend came home and saw me doing this. She asked what I was doing. I said, folding a t-shirt. She said, why the hell do you keep making lines with your hands, and movements like if your about to do karate?! I told her that's what the video told me to do
I learned this by asking the attendant at a laundromat and I recommend you do the same just go to your local Corner laundromat and ask the attendant to show you!
It's a good skill to have but of little use in real life unless, of course, you fold tee shirts in a factory for a living! I dry my tee shirts in the sun after washing using clothes hangers, and just hang them in my closet when dry.
Seen that trick years ago, it's a very fast folding method, but does tend to leave visible creases on the fold lines, especially if you stack more of them on top of each other.
Do you know of a way to fold that doesn’t leave any creases whatsoever? Genuine question here bc I’ve never found one and I’m always trying new ways. 🫠
@@kayladonohue6764 Not really. Shirts will always have creases when folded. What I did notice is that the quality of fabrics plays a key role. The creases on quality fabrics tend to relax or almost disappear when worn. Also folding shirts properly helps (like military recruits do :), because the creases will be symmetrical and aesthetically acceptable.
I saw a woman folding and stacking T-shirts this way in a clothing shop many years ago. I got her to show me how she did it... I found that it is a bit like solving Rubik's Cube... if you don't keep doing it you eventually forget how. 😊
@@kayladonohue6764 You only get creases if you fold to tightly and/or apply to much pressure. I personally do something similar to what Marie Kondo was teaching. I fold the left and right sides to the vertical midline. I then fold the top and the bottom to the horizontal midline before folding the entire shirt so that the top and bottom meet. As long as you don't compress that too much, it should stand vertically in a drawer without enough pressure to create creases.
It's not terribly practical unless you don't care which shirt you wear next, and don't mind removing the entire stack to put the shirts away, or having some shirts worn all the time with some never being worn. IMHO, it's worth the extra couple seconds to fold it so that you can stand them vertically. That way, you can access any shirt you like without having to worry about wrinkles from stacking shirts on each other.
I think retail shop did that, I once saw a salesperson doing that, ask her how, she just smile & walk away. After I learned the trick, it’s really fast now folding all my little ones t-shirt 👕👚
For anyone struggling like I was at first: The angle is super important! The shirt has to be tilted sideways facing you and you have to grip the side further away from you, otherwise the maneuver doesn't work. I was getting frustrated because the shirt was laying faced towards me, I was doing the fold and twist right, but it wasn't laying out properly, it was slightly reversed and the sleeve was still visible and not tucked. Hope this helps!
Yeah, this quick fold doesn't quite secure the fold as well as a traditional fold where the bottom half secures both sides and sleeves but it looks good from the front as long as you don't try picking it up.
simple and easy to follow. great. turn this youtube on mobile system and rotate to make hands in video are in same way as yours. It is easier to follow and less confusing.
This is a pretty good method, but it only works well if you can/want your shirts to be folder in a square like manner. I have shirts that are pretty long at the helm (like many tall people probably do) so folding them this way makes the fold wide. To me, it is preferable that the fold is "long, not wide" so I can fit them better in my closet. I tried to mix it up so I could use it for my preference but the half-half method doesn't work for it. Sleeves tend to get left outside hanging. But a good video, nonetheless.
This is where UA-cam shines. When good people share knowledge in a simple and easy to understand way for the rest of us to learn. Thank you.
You know... I don't know why I get the feeling you were being sarcastic? 😄
It took me 2 seconds to fold and 2 hours to prepare the fold.
😂😂😂😂😂😂
Exactly
🤣🤣🤣🔥🔥🔥
The demonstrator took for ever. I did the whole thing in 5 seconds
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

100 times more fun, folding my shirts like that. Tried it, loved. Also, added an additional .5 seconds with another half fold! Yes, thank you.
I showed my Grandson... his mother thanked me for helping to make his bedroom tidier without him even knowing he was doing it! 😊
Probably the best video on all of UA-cam. Short, sweet, to the point. Excellent - and thank you!
I tried and it works. Amazing, thank you.

I was expecting the video to use a marker to draw out the lines on the t-shirt...
これはすごい!超便利!!Amazing! Really helpful!!
I made it at last!^^
Actually it is not that difficult^^
Thanks for the tip! ❤
何回やっても出来なくて😂 今やったらやっと出来た😂😂🎉あなたは神だ❗️
I'll just buy extra hanggers and forget folding all together 🤣
Or put 10 shirts on the same hanger
Wow! This is so creative and it doesn't take too much time either. This is REVOLUTIONARY!! I LOVE this❤️❤️❤️❤️
thank you, nice to hear it

This video is presumably for all the people who are expecting "speed folding" to be added as an Olympic event someday.

Once you know this is how you fold your shirts, you pick them up differently without even thinking about it.

Japanese t-shirt fold (was called that when I first saw it many years ago). So fast.
