    My wife and I went to the Shoraian restaurant and LOVED it. Although their website said you don't need reservations for lunch, they had that sign up saying they were fully booked up. We walked up and asked them if they could accommodate us anyway and they kindly seated us! Incredible restaurant where every dish is based on tofu.

    If you have a chance to come to Japan. You should come to Okutama for enjoying Japanese nature or Japanese Alps,
    If your money allowed. Tateyama mountain or Kamikochi must be awesome place!

    The kanji is the name of the temple 天龍寺 (tenryuuji), or "sky" "dragon" "temple". Hour is 時

    • @cakeswithfaces
      @cakeswithfaces 7 років тому

      Ah thank you! What a great name :-) I'm still a beginner at kanji!

  • @Kiisu234

    I think the bottom right Kanji (ryu) means dragon. It looks similar to the Kanji for dragon :) How long does it take roughly from the start of the bridge to the bamboo forest? I'm going in March and I'm worried I've packed too much into my itinerary haha

    • @cakeswithfaces
      @cakeswithfaces 7 років тому +2

      Ah thank you! I know, you want to see everything, right? :-) They're not too far away from each other - you can walk between the bridge, bamboo forest and station in about 10-15 minutes between each. We just took time exploring! From Arashiyama we went on to Kinkakuji in the same day, on the Randen tramway (in my next video!), but you could spend a whole day in Arashiyama, if you went on the boat trip or scenic train as well, or went to the monkey park.

    nice travel log. But why oh why do girls paint their hair such silly colours these days? It adds nothing to your beauty, doesn't somehow indicate your are creative, or artistic or "fashionable". It's just silly.

    "I do love me a good bamboo forest" - thanks for teaching people how NOT to speak English. Not helpful.
