His own father, told Juvia, to take care, of his son! -Graylu and Lyvia shippers, I'm not saying that your opinion in wrong, but I think it's NaLu and Lyon x Chelia. I mean, Mashima is obviously hinting towards NaLu, and Chelia loves Lyon a lot, like Sherry used to. Besides, Lyon said that he took a hint and knew that Juvia didn't like him in one of the Fairy Tail episodes, so that's that. On the other hand, Juvia still fights for Gray's love. Sorry guys, but, NALU, GRUVIA, LYON X CHELIA FTW!!!

+Patty Loxar My theory is that Gray's afraid of her being closer to him than she's already managed to get because it seems to him that pretty much everyone he's been close to has either died or left him at some point - Ur died, Ultear died, Lyon abandoned him for 10 years after Ur died, his parents and whole village are dead, his dad left him a second time, Natsu left the guild for a year for training and so the whole guild disbanded, the friends he made on his journey to joining Fairy Tail haven't been seen even though that spin off manga is said to be canon material, etc. And he did almost lose her during the dragon invasion when he temporarily died. I honestly don't think Lyon is the better choice. Gray just needs time to get his head straight and to deal with his E.N.D. task and everything that's going on for him. Lyon just smothers her with the things he considers romantic and it's clear that Juvia doesn't want that, that's why she's still interested in Gray. At first her love for him was because of his looks, and how compatible their magic is, and then it turned into gratitude when he saved her from falling off the roof of Phantom Lord when they met, and now it's grown into true romance. Sure she has her quirks now and then because she's a hopeful romantic, it's how she acts because of that trait, but she's calmer around him more than she used to be which has made him open up to her more as well. I reckon they'll definitely be together in the end, I mean...would Gray really allow Natsu to be a step ahead of him with Lucy forever since NaLu is confirmed to become canon at some point...?
