    My favourite sport? Skateboarding! Even though I don't like to call it a sport since there's no rules & there's no coach shouting from the sideline! But still, I'm 35 & have been skating on & off since I was about6. So 29 years & I still love it. And I love your videos too DJ TLM. Thanks you for taking your time to 'Share The Knowledge' & help us all!

    I really appreciate you taking time to answer my question in this video. You're absolutely right in the sense of being my own judge in terms of finding a partner. It's really frustrating to find people who don't have the work ethic that comes with the talent. Unfortunately, talent doesn't always pay the bills. Professionalism plays a key role in how successful your business will be.
    I think it makes more sense to bring on someone as a part of the team and do the bookings. It might be more work during the initial period of it, but will certainly reduce the constant stress of back to back weekends for sometimes months at a time. As always, you're killing it. Salute!

    To the wedding deejay: you also have the option of hiring an assistant. I have never deejayed a wedding, but I have worked as an assistant to a friend, helping him move equipment, facilitating with guests and clients, and just helping in general. He even let me play a few songs once. In other words, you don't necessarily need to start a partnership with another deejay. You could always do that later if you find another deejay that meets your standards, or just hire another deejay and charge a finder's fee.

    #Share the knowledge@Djtlm. I been practicing with my ns7 for about 3 years your videos have helped a lot. I'm about to start my mobile dj company right know im in the process of marketing myself facebook, insta,youtube ect.. Any advice before I start marketing myself? And how can I start looking for my first gigs?and can you make a video about serato video have you work with it? I work with itch but the guy at the store told me that i have to buy serato dj and serato video because it wont work it itch is that true?
    Thank you for all your info we as beginners really appreciate your help not all djs are willing to share the knowledge so respect to you for that.

    @Mulin This applies to any business a person takes from being a solo operation to adding personal. The thing you have to remember is no one is going to conduct themselves the way that you do. So what you have to decide is what is going to be your basement for customer service as well as actual talent. Then find someone who meets or exceeds those standards and let them do their thing. You never know, you could wind up managing a few DJs and then only doing the gigs you want to do, but not suffer a loss of income.

    There are many ways to organize the crates on Serato DJ. I sorted my crates by date. EX: 1980s, 1990s Hip Hop R&B, 1990s Pop, 2000 Hip Hop, 2000s Top 40 and so on. How do you personally organize your crates on Serato DJ? - DJ Linga

    Hi, Thanks for all your videos. I have one simple question, I'm planing to make a living as a dj and start creating a fan base and uploading my mixes and beats to social media, I created an original dj name and a good logo so i registered it as a trademark in my country a while ago, but now i found some dj from the USA start using it so i'm thinking to register it in the USA as well because it's possible that i work there as a dj in the future. Do you think this is a good idea? or should i wait? There's no videos on how to register your dj name or beats, How do you deal with this Copyright things between countries. Maybe this is a good topic to talk about in one of your videos. Thanks for your help.

    Might be a little bit hard to explain but i will try: Let's say you a currently at 100 bpm and you are at the point of the evening when its time to bring in the club bangers. And a specific songs comes to your mind that is around 120-128 bpm. Do you slowly moves up to songs around 120-128 bpm's or do you normally just makes a fancy transition to that new song which is in a much higher tempo? #sharetheknowledge

    • @kylian7034
      @kylian7034 8 років тому

      +FHNeditsHD You could do both. If you slowly move up with the bpm people will get more in the mood for the bangers, but you if you feel it's time to play the bangers it might take too long. If you make a fancy transition it will come as a surprise, but it depends on the way you make the transition if it will be a positive of a negative surprise.

    Hey it's DJ Mac, I Djed a club gig last weekend. I was killing it but then a drunk girl started messing with my faders, the maniger thought the speakers were broken. It's a Z2 mixer. I was being nice and told bouncer to escort her out, but she came back. I was going to 4th grade on her, WHAT DO I DO?

  • @sergiopadilla5252

    +djtlmtv But what if the rapper you are DJing for isnt a headliner and is opening for other Rappers who probably have their own dj ...Have you been in that scenario? did you ever run into any swapping issues? how do you know what equipment to bring etc?

    • @djTLMtv
      @djTLMtv  6 років тому

      Plenty of options to deal with that scenario. That is the job of the stage manager. A stage manager has to make sure that there is a plan for the acts that includes change over time between acts. Either have a DJ play (from a different set) in between the live performances, or just have two sets on stage so acts can set up while an other act is performing, etc. You deal with that at a lot of club shows, festivals and more so it's very common

    For the person that want to use Serato scratch or Serato Dj with the sl2 just go to the Rane web and down load the drivers for that. I did that because I steel use sometimes scratch live and do the recording to ableton. I haven't updated ableton. For Dj Tlm what up with those headphones that have your name on them and those are pioneer headphones. I that you were going to show them on the video.
