It’s pretty cool seeing a healthy marriage organically, amazing podcast.
I love how Glen addressed not wanting to shame people. People who listen and write into the show are adults so know what they should do based on their faith and belief systems, reminding them with judgement negates the purpose of spreading love as mandated by Jesus. The Bible even says we should leave judgement for God.

It is wise to examine the friends you have when you get married and see if you still want to keep them around.
I got married in my 30s and was always respectful of my married friends. Now that I am married I expect the same respect.
Be watchful who you keep around.
Your spouse is your priority.
This is the truth. So many married people don't prioritise their marriages. Your parents your friends your extended family aren't the priority anymore. Your marriage is.

Friendships grow as people grow. You keep the friendship however the dynamics of it changes due to marriage.
I disagree, you can't take everyone with you. Alot of folks will fall away once you are married. That goes for family and friends. Choose your spouse. Each and Everytime. Your friends and family will make and keep you single and alone. You'd be amazed at how many folks are in secret competition with you

I don't know, I would be careful not to underestimate how emotionally intelligent children can be. Me and my spouse fuss at each other and pick on one another ALL of the time. Our kids know that this is different from actually arguing. They might have used that language when they were younger, but now, at 15 and 11, they would tell you their parents never really fight. The closest thing to "fighting" that they see is us actually working through our disagreements. We very rarely raise our voices, which is probably why they don't think we fight. But they learn the difference between sarcasm and just picking on each other vs. true tension.

Sometimes you don’t have to be god friends with someone. The friend is having issues to the point that she can’t even be happy for her marriage. I think she needs to work some things out and maybe it’s for the best if they are apart for that. Not necessarily in a negative way.
Before I got married, I didn't understand why hanging out with unmarried couples was a bad idea... this is one of those situations. If she slept with your boyfriend, she would probably sleep with your husband. True, the dynamics will change the friendship but be open as possible with her... she'll appreciate it when she grows up❤ ya'll
