Steve Hass: Game-Changing Moment

Steve contemplates his choice of leaving Berklee with one semester left before graduation or having the opportunity to kick-start his professional music career. Luckily, his decision to leave school led to several projects collaborating with jazz saxophonist Ravi Coltrane.

it takes a serious love of music, and bravery to do this. Thank god he did. Ravi's Mad 6 is one of the best jazz records I've hear/ 26-2 is sick!

Steve's work with John Scofield is amazing. He's a true all around drummer. Nice to look at too. God is great!

thanks guys, I'm a little better in front of the camera these days. I've never been completely comfortable expressing and articulating myself verbally in the spur of the moment like this. On the drums however, I'm all about 100% improvisation on the fly!

I had no idea he left school to play with Ravi. This guy plays so much more than jazz. He was doing lot's of rock gigs at that time too. For instance at The Bitter End. I agree OM, 26-2 is sick! Very inspiring. I wonder how LA is treating him.
