This will be a grower for me. I can see an immediate use for it generating textures but I really like the melodic potential you show here.

Absolutely love these new devices. Logic user here, but these might motivate me to switch over to Ableton Live for those creative situations. You could honestly make these as VST/AU and sell them very easily, in my opinion.

anyone else think the voice recording in these videos is too high relative to the sound?

Plenty of people have commented the same thing. Unfortunate for Ableton.

I'm noticing scaling issues of the sample display within Ableton 12. Part of the device's display appears cut off - confirmed on my side. It's an Ableton 12 issue

It’s hard to explain to people why ableton is different than other DAW’s, it’s this kind of unique stuff that would never be in Logic or ProTools

although cool sample - but totally, noticed it most with the panning I felt like it wasn't a good sample to display it with

I probably won't find an answer to my question here but I will ask anyway.. I try to control Emit via Touchdesigner but if I send a value to the emit device it won't change the parameter. I tested the connection between touchdesigner and ableton with other devices, even with max for live devices from the inspired by nature bundlee but I only got this problem with the emit device.. Did by any Chance somebody encounter a similiar Problem?

Emit is extremely unstable and has killed an amazing track I had going. Lovely device, but I tried it several times again and it kept crashing ableton.

there are several ways to get your project working again, the easiest is to just rename the .amxd for emit.

@@debmaster Looking at the numbers, the music samples in these videos average -37dB and the voiceovers average -10dB. For human ears, that's a perceived loudness difference of 8X. Eight times. If the decibel scale doesn't make any sense to you, you can also think of it as the music volume being only 12% of the voiceover volume.
Now, if I were Ableton, "a leader in audio software," I'd make sure the audio mixing in the videos showing off my audio software wasn't going for an audiobook style, but more for an audio showcase of the audio effects imparted to the audio sample.
I'm sure Ableton can handle the numbers and the constructive criticism from me and all the other people commenting the same thing. Sorry you guys couldn't.

@@basic-decaf well I will repeat "we can hear something else than the girl speaking" , trust me" :) , I heard enough to understand what happened. I'm one of the people feeling in the past that sometimes music is too loud to hear the speaker. And I repeat that i'm agree that the balance is not good and the music too low. but saying that we can't hear anything is "exaggerated" just write "would be nice if the music would be louder next time" , you will be more "heard".

This is not unique! - this is a complete rip-off of iZotope's Iris 2 - which by the way was originally released in 2014...

    • @happylittlesynth

    • @peen2804

Going to assume you have no idea what granular processing or synthesis is. People are so god damn dumb it hurts. Literally whatever software you’re using is a “rip off” of something else. Ideas do not existent in a vacuum and nothing is original no matter what it is. You don’t own a single original product.
I mean all smart phones with a touch UI are iPhone rip offs right? All modern daws are rip offs of IBM hardware from the 70s and earlier. That fancy compressor you use is a rip off of an la2a which is a rip off of other IBM hardware. The hole doesn’t end and picking and choosing what is and isn’t okay to iterate on is hypocrisy.
