Thanks for the comment. Yes, actually, they sing an old days hit song for fun at the interval of their gig. Also, in Japanese music show 'Music Fair', they've covered songs of other artists such as SPEED, Anri, Seiko Matsuda etc., some of which we can find on youtube or elsewhere on the web.

You do? Well, as a relatively late fan, I regret I didn't encounter and couldn't support them in those days. But luckily there are some videos of their early years like this. Discovering the old videos and tracking their growth are perhaps part of the joys for us fans ^^

Adorable... Amazing how far they have come to this day. I remember the release of Sweet Donuts and this year's October we got Star Train. My personal favorites are "Nee" and "Kokoro no Sport" and Perfume has set a personal standard regarding music that will last my whole life, I think.

I understand your point. Well, given that their identity as an electronic musician, it seems inevitable that such a song has been regarded as an extra. But, they have never given up offering the extra at any gig, and we can hear their singing voices in more songs at their recent JPN concert tour ^^
I have to say that this is my favorite perfume song overall.

As to the latter suggestion, it'd be harder because their songs are exclusively tailored to their voices. Only exception so far is twice attempts by Smap, for which Nakata newly remixed the track. But, if we don't stick to the electronic sound, there'd be a more possibility of good covers of their songs. In this sense, Goosehouse has done an amazing job, acoustically arranging and covering 4 Perfume songs. If interested, search for 'Goosehouse Perfume' on youtube. I really love these covers.
