    DUDE!!! I’ve been sewing for a bajillion years. I studied fashion design in college and I’ve sewn professionally. You seriously just blew my mind with how you attached the bias tape maker to your machine and attached it while top stitching with the double needle. I have never heard of this technique before. You just saved me so much time on so many projects. Thank you!!!

    I've checked out several other patterns which don't use interfacing. The fact that you do use it gives me much more confidence in the integrity of your directions -- well done, you!

    I brought a few of your patterns and with my patterns I am getting request to make hats. Great tutorials and patterns. I only had to adjust the top circle from 7" to 7 & 1/2. Thank you.

    I've watched other tutorials with people using other machines and you make it look so simple or it's the singer machine.

    Done a handful of bucket hats so far and watching you do that top with zero pins / clips just destroyed my confidence 😂😂

    Thank you for sharing this! I want to note, if you really want your seams to lay flat and really clean, one must turn them with a steam iron. This is especially the case with the seam on the outer edge of the brim.

    I have a question.
    I love this pattern. However when I sew the top to the side I always seem to have extra side material and it ends up pleating. I'm using denim. And I'm sewing the shorter edge of the side to the top. Any suggestions? Does clipping around the edge of the side help or make it worse?

    I'm new at sewing and making bucket hats. I have watched a kazzillian of videos and have "made" many bucket hats with a lot of trial and error. My problem is that everytime I try sewing the brim or top of the hat I'm always ending up with too much fabric and I can't figure it out. I pin it, I cut the fabric according to the patterns. Can you help, maybe there is something I'm missing. Thank you and thanks for the video.

    What's the piece being used as a guide while stitching the brim?

      If I'm not wrong, I think it's called a seam guide.

    could a single piece of round material be used to make the brim, instead of multiple pieces?

    • @ProperFitClothing
      @ProperFitClothing  5 років тому

      Thom that is a possibility. It may not turn out the same. It is worth a try. You may loose the raffle look. We do it the other way for more symmetrical patterns and to save fabric when making multiple hats.
