I always thought that this theme was too happy for MegaMan. But then I awoke at 1:00 AM with this theme running in my mind. It's catchy, I'll give it that

Your walk in through my town Wavin' that gun around You want a fight, I'll give you one tonight But you "better not mess with Magnet man" "Better not mess with Magnet man" C'mon
If there is one disappearing reappearing block section I always have a hard time with, it's Wily Fortress 2 from Mega Man 6. Fuck that one. Mega Man 4 and 5 aren't that much easier, but that particular stage can suck my Richard.
This is such a rich song, melodically, harmonically, and texturally, plus it's in a hard-as-nails key: Gb. You hear little snippets of Earth, Wind and Fire ("Boogie Wonderland") and The Who ("Baba O'Riley"), and over the top comes this soaring melody that alternates between major and minor and is instantly memorable. Right up there with the Moon Theme, SMB 1, SMB 2, etc. I didn't even play Mega Man 3 as a kid, so I don't have much nostalgia for the game, but this song touches a nerve nonetheless. It'll take me a while to get it transcribed.
i randomly remembered this and when i played this stage it immediately hit me and i just wanted to do nothing more than dance to this theme, it's so cheery!
Always got me in good spirits in the morning when I'd hear this.i use to always say goodmorning and thank you to the magnets that I hitched a ride on :)
This music was my ALL TIME FAVORITE of all the regular level bosses on MM3! Then at Wiley’s castle (postseason play), the first two levels had great music. 🎶
This theme seems to be considered cheerful by a lot of people, but my first reaction to it back in the mid-90s was actually that I found it very poignant and bittersweet; I almost dreaded playing this stage, because the music made me feel almost like I wanted to cry, lol. But I can see why people find it cheerful and catchy.
I'm appreciting this song much more now than I did before. In no way did I dislike or full on hated it, but it's a cool and lighthearted song that contrasts the more action-based themes of the other stages, which may have beeen the point. If not, it was a great move.
Great thing about MM3 is that all regular bosses are feasible with the regular shot, but easier with 1 (or 2 in some cases) special weapons. But not too much easier. Outside of top man's weapon on Shadow Man, most weapons do 4 damage per hit as opposed to 1-2 damage per hit and also make it easier to hit. Hardest bosses without a special are, in my opinion, Hard Man, Shadow Man, and Gemini Man. Spark Man can also be hard. The rest are decent to start on. This gives MM3 good replay value. MM3 weapons are also pretty balanced and useful in a lot of different places in the game. Wood Man, Quick Man, and Air Man are ridiculous without a special weapon. Even Crash Man and Flash Man are hard. You just about have to start with Metal, Heat, or Bubble Man. So everyone starts with Metal Man because Metal Blade is already OP anyway. Love MM2, but that's kind of annoying.
Snake man is so easy you can do him first just for the heck of it and any particular order. My order is: Snake Top Shadow Spark Gemani Needle Magnet Hard
It sounds more bittersweet to me, kind of like people who have experienced something tragic and are doing something really fun as a way to cheer each other up.
Who else can hear the never-ending "woooo wooooo woooooo wooooo" of those disappearing platforms in your head when you hear this track? That was the most frustrating part of this whole game, unless you had Hoverboard Rush.
