      No body wants to kill real people we only wanna pretend we are killing real people and eventually 3d graphics are gonna look so real we can kill as much as we want and completely safe, and even video games have context besides GTA most games with guns are sci fi/millitary shooters.

      Mmm... I have a tough time saying that violence in various media of games, movies or just ingesting horrific violence in online videos of executions etc have ZERO effects on crime rates. Similarly I have a hard time saying showing sex and sexuality in a very frivolous manner doesn't helps contribute to higher unwanted births, STDs etc.
      We're impressionable creatures and we have sex and violence deeply ingrained in us all by nature. By constantly feeding our minds on these things we begin to shape our thought process and eventually our hearts so that when a situation arises, we're more likely to lean into a regretful sexual encounter or violence as a first reaction.
      Violent media isn't all to blame, the parenting sucks, too many hours are required for parents to be at work away from their kids to make a living and that makes it soooooooo much easier to be raised by media of overtly violent and sexual natures.

    • @hamschh
      @hamschh 4 роки тому

      video games are one of the many moving parts that causes people's minds to want to murder. If talking about percentage, it's probably like 1% of the problem. The mind is complicated and we do not fully understand it yet. But i am sure media, movies, video games all play a role in the development of a mass murderer. Should we censor it? No. Tons of people play video games and do not kill people.

    i lived in a all black area one of the only few white people. helped a black woman, her boyfriend was beating the crap out of her and stole her legal gun. talked to detectives put him away. the police warned me of his violent background. i had seen 4 home invasions on my street in 10 years. 30 rounds isnt enough. i bought a ar15 and walked around with 2 9mm. always. put warning signs all over my yard. my house turned into a fortress just to sleep at night. you absolutely need 30 rounds. and you never know when a gun is going to jam. i had a 38 revolver for just that reason. i was spending so much money on guns and ammo i moved eventually. but if i didnt sit on my porch with a ar 15 next to me flaunting 2 guns hanging off my chest you best believe black people would of preyed on me. ive listened to their conversations outside my house on my security camera microphones

    Piers is trained to confuse and frustrate any opponent in a debate. That's why he continuously cuts Anthony off, and skews numbers. Notice when Anthony is about to answer one of Piers' questions and Piers knows he's gonna make a real point, he cuts Anthony off and asks another question. Then rapid fire spits his ideology.

      Ever been to Afghanistan? If you do a debate by percentages than Ant would be absolutely correct. Do you know weapons caches are found ALL the time but are taken and destroyed just as people are murdered all the time and not properly recorded. How many "mass graves" have you heard of being found in the US? More were found in 1 year than the 7-8 mass shootings Piers brings up dating back to the mid 90s.

      Switzerland is the prime example. By law every citizen has to recieve training in firearms and have a rifle at home. Look up their gun crime stats. In the end violence of any kind is a cultural problem.

      ***** They still find ways to kill each other, if it's not the gun it's the knife or the cinderblock, or the arrow. People killing each other is a mental problem. We're not protecting anyone by taking guns away from legal owners. We're just making it easier for crazy people to kill innocent people. Crazy people kill. You can blame the gun all you want. You can blame the knives, the swords, the arrows. Crazy people always will find a way to kill. Why is this so hard to understand? If they don't have a gun, they will find a way to kill. How about we let innocent people protect themself?

    • @neondeion12
      @neondeion12 10 років тому

      ***** You do realize that comparing crime in Europe to America is kind of ridiculous. These countries don't have nearly the gang problem we have, serious drug problem, the amount of guns on the streets, overall violence, high crime, ect. To the best of my knowledge these countries in Europe didn't have nearly as high of gun crime before the ban and they didn't have the overall crime we have. To cut down on gun crime/go after serious criminals/crack down on violent people with mental illness would you support stop and frisk, allowing government officals to look at anyone's medical records, and allow cops to search personal property without a warrant or probable cause?

    • @neondeion12
      @neondeion12 10 років тому

      ***** The European countries with strict gun laws that you're talking about don't make it "a little harder" for someone to own a gun they make it almost impossible for legal gun owners to get a gun. How are you going to make it harder for these crazy people to own a gun when the vast majority of these mass shooters pass a background check in the first place?

    • @neondeion12
      @neondeion12 10 років тому

      ***** These European countries make it extremely hard for legal gun owners to own a gun and you have to have a great reason to own one. The vast majority of these mass shooters don't steal their guns from their parents the majority get their guns legally by pass a background check. I'm guessing when you bring up "assault weapons" you mean guns like the semi-automatic AR-15's instead of the actual meaning? Semi-automatic long rifles have always been pretty available yet they are rarely used in crime and are responsible for less than 300 deaths a year ( which includes all hunting rifles and all long rifles). So I'm guessing you don't support stop and frisk and allowing cops to search personal property without a warrant? The gang shootings and urban crime are a much bigger problem than these mass shootings. The countries gun laws you are citing don't make getting a gun a "slightly inconvenience" they make sure very few own guns and the people who do own guns are usually the ones living out in the middle of no where/farmers.

    One of my favorite O&A moments was when Patrice O'neal was on talking about home invasions and said how funny it would be if someone broke in and killed Anthony in his sleep. I have been hunting since I was 12 and used to spend entire summers murdering squirrels at my grandparent's walnut ranch and I will always prefer pump action shotguns and bolt-action rifles over any semi-automatic weapon. AR-15s are fun to shoot at the range, but to use them to hunt is a douche move.

      Yeah but that's because Anthony isn't educated on the subject. Do you think America has the largest middle class by accident? Or is the wealth retention correlated with our ability to defend our property with weapons that resemble the arms of law enforcement? (Think about it. Look at every other country on the planet compared to ours.)

    • @joshr920
      @joshr920 10 років тому

      Bennmurray25 - You think America having the largest middle class is somehow connected to gun ownership? That's the most retarded thing I've ever heard.

    • @bennmurray25
      @bennmurray25 10 років тому

      Josh R I said gun ownership helps us retain our wealth. Owning guns does not produce wealth if that's what you mean. Silly.

    • @joshr920
      @joshr920 10 років тому

      Well it doesn't, gun ownership has nothing to do with wealth what so ever. The reason the US has the largest middle class is because you're the largest 1st world country by far, you have over double the population of Japan which is the second highest.

    • @bennmurray25
      @bennmurray25 10 років тому

      Josh R I never said firearms generate wealth. They help a man or woman defend their wealth and property. A high rate of wealth retention creates a large middle class. If an entity steals my wealth and property, I'm no longer in the middle class. You're a complete moron if you cannot understand why people choose to own firearms.
