This is some Lovecraft kind of stuff, the lack of information, the lack of understanding is perfect for that kind of thing the sheer terror of the unknown. This is good stuff.
There is no doubt that Plaguis in the Canon timeline probably send Sidious to very dangerous missions similar to what he does to both Maul and Vader.
When Maul was alive, Sidious was himself an apprentice to Darth Plagueis. So you know Maul was NEVER a Sith apprentice just a tool with very limited power, Plagueis made sure that Sidious was fully aware of his instructions when it came to this
That's what makes this even better, maul was more of a sith marauder with so much potential, even if in the end he did not become a true sith he was defenetly a f!#$@$ beast mad respect
The fact that Darth Sidious had defeated, captured and imprisoned all of these beings shows us how insane and dangerous Palpatine is. There is truly no being in all of Star Wars more evil and dangerous than Emperor Palpatine.
@@cjsaurus4120him and nihlus would’ve drained the galaxy before Palps time if they weren’t stopped lol
Not quite. Abeloth was said to be PURE Evil and ABSURDLY dark side powerful. Probably would take each generations both MOST powerful an best Sith and Jedi working together AND ATTACKING TOGETHER. ALL SAME TIME to probably subdue her. That's what it tooks when Krayte Luke and their rather big combined Sith/Jedi strike force landed to take her on. So I heard. Almost all them dying too
Sidious never fails to surprise me, the lengths he goes to achieve his will and ambition is uncommon to say the least
Well, that's on a whole other level of creepy, chilling, freaky, and disturbing. Now I wonder, what would happen if this cult met Abeloth?
i THiNK THEY MAY ALREADY HAVE
[NOT YELLiNG, JUZT LiKE TYPiNG iN CAPZ]
THANKZ 4 THE LiKE iF iT WAZ U, iF NOT, THEN 4 WHOEVER iT WAZ
The writers are trying to merge 40K and Star Wars. That's what the story is about.
Somebody tell "A fan with too much time" his SWvs40K fan story is being seen by people in Star Wars...
@@afanwithtoomuchtime4375 Hey, at least now you have more basis for Maul to battle chaos stuff in your story. Can't wait for the next episodes.
@@afanwithtoomuchtime4375Hope we get to see Maul being badass at some point.
I love the idea of a villain like Maul being the unsung hero in this situation and despite how evil Sidious is, he was right in keeping these Eldritch Horrors imprisoned from causing anarchy across the Galaxy
*”Powers of Chaos.”*
*”Only believed in Madness and Anarchy.”*
Call me a conspiracy theorist, but I think these guys might be followers of Chaos.
Star Wars Horror has alot of potential.
There's gotta be more than certain sects of witches, the Bendu, the Force Mortis Gods, the Sith and Jedi. The demons Maul faced was one of many more to come. The Force allows this and so should we.
Dude that thumbnail with Disturbed is killer
OK, so I'm not the only one who took notice of the Disturbed character on the thumbnail
Tyvm for the thumbnail. Reminds me of most of the album covers of Disturbed. My favorite band growing up.
We are the champions of chaos, we are inevitable, we are unstoppable and we are coming.
What if these three were created by Abeloth to prepare for her arrival? Well it was just a theory I had while I was watching the video
Darth Maul was so underrated...
If I wasn't so sure that Disney would completely F this up, I'd like to see this as a short movie. I would like to see more stuff about what's on the edges of the known galaxy, because stuff like this really interests me in the Star Wars universe
I don't know if this was intentional, but these three priests line up surprisingly well with Tzeentch, Khorne, and Slaanesh respectively. If this was a deliberate choice by the author, then it stands to reason that a fourth priest of Nurgle is still out there somewhere.
they wanted Maul to become next priest, so maybe he would belong to Nurgle
Ahhhh yes! It's Star Wars meets Event Horizon, two of my favorites combined I love it 🤪🤪
Giving me strong Warhammer 40k vibes with this one. I think the Star Wars universe is a great setting for horror stories and there are some interesting ones. On the flip side because it’s long been a rather family friendly/ maybe pg-13 setting you have to be somewhat careful with it
This…this is actually an amazing comic.
This is the kind of amazing stories from the old Extended Universe that I love to see.
It’s like Qui-Gon said, there’s always a bigger fish. In this case there’s always another level of evil. Maul was able to succeed but barely. There should always be stories like this. They’re great and it’s nice seeing heroes and villains pushed to their limits.
There should be a whole series just about horror-stories, like Jedi & Sith sometimes going SCP, in their own ways
I mean, Vitiate is the most evil guy in the galaxy, but now he has competition
I’m pretty sure that Palpatine/Sidious is the most evil being in all of Star Wars, but Vitiate is a fairly close second.
@@TheGreater-ScopeVillain nah. Vitiate and Nihilus are worse. Sidious at the very least believed in life and allowing it to exist and have its happy moments. So long as he had complete authority over everyone and everything. Vitiate and Nihilus wanted to destroy everything. They wanted to annihilate the concepts of hope and love.
@@TheGreater-ScopeVillain Not really, bro. Sidius literally can't be more evil then Vitiate. This guy literally sold his soul for power and immortality. When he shared this gift with Scourge he couldn't stand or move, because pain was imposible to stand for. Vitiate, has no feelings, no regrets, no emtioins, he is souless machine with single purpose to become as powerful as posible and then more. Palps wanted power, he wanted to rule galaxy, Vitiate wanted to devoure it.
Sidious was the most evil. Nihilus was a beast and fed like a cosmic vampire/lich. Vitiate was a monster, but he wasn't on the level of the pure evil of sidious. He was the dark side incarnation.
I don't know if sidius is more Evil than Vitiate but these creatures might be
I like it, it is very imaginative and very dark, and entity that even insidious should not have fooled with because of the sheer chaos in malevolence, it is truly haunting and also makes one wonder what else is out there!
Great video, well done! Outter realm has some crazy stuff.
A SW Netherworld scenario sounds super amazing!
This was awesome! I’d love another volume giving us some lore
This 'madness' realm sounds like The Warp
This was great, I love these videos, keep at it!
I love this video already l love your channel so much it's so cool 😊
Love the mystery surrounding these mysterious beings.
Episode 8 of the Acolyte we'll find out that Palpatine wrote, directed and produced the series
Yess bless you for your sith lore!!!!!! And why can't we get sith shows about stuff like this like this would be a great horror to see
so this is either Hellraiser or Slaanesh Cult from Warhammer 40k
This is so mind blowing! We Need to know more about this! I wonder if these things are connected with the ones or Abeloth
Wow! This was nuts!
the thumbnail told me The Guy evidently is a Demon imprisoned in the Unknown Regions.
Somehow.... that kinda fits Disturbed's mascot, no?
Edit: i would LOVE more cosmic horror in Star Wars. That kinda stuff is simply right up my alley. The design of that first demon, that's absolute chefs kiss stuff
Like Event Horizon meets Star Wars. Nice.
Worshippers of Chaos in sw galaxy confirmed!
horor stories in star wars would make fine adition to my colection
This was a really cool take on a completely different aspect of Star Wars.
I think that a series with horrors from outside of the known universe would be great!
Those beings must have been from the Unknown Regions
Brilliant story & video, giving off some Event Horizon vibes/chills. The franchise definitely lacks this kind of deep (space) lore - though, I hope Disney will not intervene and this segment will remain pure in its obscurity..
That moment when u found palps saved the galaxy so he can only rule it
Oh, there's one Chaos God Maul would gladly serve. Khorne. Even AFanWithTooMuchTime has acknowledged this.
Why can't we get shows like this?
Amazing.
Awesome
I have yet to read this. This is a story that will have me putting it on my list to read. The story of how Sidious actually came across and captured them may be even more terrifying. As it obviously would have been no easy task.
I’m gonna be real, that image in the thumbnail looks like a Disturbed album cover and it’s kinda dope.
I think horror would be nice to see more often in Star Wars and I think this story is very cool. That said, horror like this can't be done often, or else it either loses its impact or runs the risk of supplanting Star Wars itself. A one-off story and the idea that there's "something out there" that we may never see are very good and maybe one or two other appearances of The Occult could work, but other horror stories in Star Wars may need to be more of a Death Troopers variety or a slasher with someone like Grievous hunting people.
I love this.
A story so dark it almost brakest one of the most savage and dark characters in the story, but to any random character in warhammer 40k, just a Tuesday
these are the starwars version of warp entities from 40k
that thumbnail fire disturbed fire
In Warhammer 40k this is just Monday.
Sidious uses trickery to defeat enemies so it more shows how scared he was of these 3 beings and the power they hold
This is true madness. I'm glad we know nothing of them. Le them be there. This is dark side, pure evil darkness. It's great Maul is so skillfull. Sidious went too far with this. He wanted these beings captured. And this was training for Maul. I would like to see more horror stories in Star Wars. May the Force be with you always😀
Yes 💯 yes to all your questions.
How did Palpatine even imprison them
Acolyte isn't even close to this video
"The Guy" from Disturbed, Palpatines "Disturbed" prison. I see what you did there😉
Now this is sci-fi horror done right in my opinion.
This group sounds alot like one that makes the Sith look like good guys here... Not an easy thing to do with Darth Sideous... An I wonder if this is something not quite lost on Palpatine.. an royally pissing him off too..
The one saving grace of theirs.. Sith AREN'T fond of anarchy an chaos. An they're not fans of anyone trying to get in they way either. Light or Dark
I feel Star Wars is starting to dip their toes into the cosmic horror genre. Which I find a good thing as it shows the true horrors of the galaxy. That a small group of cultists with a mysterious power can disturb even a Sith.
I liked seeing Rocksteady from the Ninja Turtles as a Star Wars villain!
I'd love to see more sci-fi horror in Star Wars. It has so much already. Luke's entire journey is a survival horror story to begin with, from a certain perspective.
Great Story!! Cosmic Horror in Star Wars 👍👍👍
I'm glad the comics are still doing fine at least this one because this has cosmic horror all over it and I love it I love it when the dark side And the cosmic horror come together in this beautiful wave I would love to know more about the unknown it could be part of the mother you know from the father the son the daughter that's kind of hold God's like thing could be an extension of that or just something extra or I don't care that much I think it was just beautiful dawn
So maul actually saved the galaxy once
So, this more alien, mind-bending horror is neat, but am I dumb for wondering if Darth Plagueis was simply totally in the dark about these Cultists, and the sheer chaos Sidious was potentially trying to loose upon the galaxy? This basically has to be a Maul pre-Phamtom Menace, which means that the aged Muun Master is still around, and while I do accept that, at times, he was exceedingly isolated, and let Sidious do his own things, this seems like a scale of things that might seem odd for him to be totally in the dark about. Maybe they are starting to change the canon about who, and what, Plagueis was, and his actions? Just wondering.
Plagueis wanted to rule galaxy with palpatine as equals so maybe he know
I love these kinds of stories. They are more common in The Old Republic era. I can only imagine what the Starweird Queen's confrontation was like. I did face the Dread Masters and their horrors. And don't forget the horrors of Odacer-Faustin. Those did not come from the force at all according to Red Harvest, but something far darker. Though I don't think it was Chaos.
Yes. The star wars galaxy is full of horror
They were trying to open a doorway to San Francisco,😂😂.
With the recent news…I wonder if this cult is to that of Abaloth and her brand of chaos and carnage?
Now that was a insolitus and ruby luminous story.
I so wish they would just make a Darth Maul game.
See why can't they make a show like this?!?! That would be sick af!
Here is a question to anyone in the comments do you think that emperor Palpatine would have sent Darth Vader on a mission like this during the imperial era
Ah, some good Star Wars for a change, refreshing
We need more horror stories in SW
Bruh used "The Guy" from Disturbed for the thumbnail.
only reason I clicked on the video was to check and see if people in the comments recognized him.
Maul did something good. I'm impressed.
I wonder who would win: the final occultation, or the dread lords
I wonder if these creatures/ demons share any relation to the Starweird species the first one definitely looked starweird like I love when Star Wars goes into horror territory I’d love a show with this type of stuff in it
I love it when Star Wars gets strange
I do occasionally wonder if palpatine ever explored ancient worlds like belsavis it being a prison planet created by the rakata would be rife with ancient secretsb
Is that tumbnail The Guy from Disturbed? Their mascot I mean?
Darth Maul definitely did the right thing by destroying this cult. Palpatine being able to defeat and then imprison these things really does show just how powerful he is and yet Darth Vitiate is more powerful than him. I do not want to think about what would have happened if that ritual succeeded
The weird. The frightening. Deep space is full of the unkown... places that many would find... unnatural🎉
Palpatine was evil to the core.
So were they trying to open the wrap in this galaxy
This was freaky......
never thought i'd see Star Wars and Disturbed in the same video
“The Naboo have a legend about six impenetrable gates that hold back chaos. House Palpatine is one of those gates, Damask.”
- Star Wars: Darth Plagueis, Chapter 10
