the fact that a disney star is publicly advocating for sexual assault survivors by sharing his experience as a male CSA survivor is so fucking monumental, and yet its being overshadowed by breakup discourse. all they have to say to him is “stop whining” and “you’re digging up old drama” and sometimes the fun “you cant be raped, you’re a man.” even now, nobody with influence wants to support him. it’s so fucking bizarre, i genuinely don’t get it. how does moving on quickly from a relationship make you so taboo?

That’s not how that works at all. Sepsis is caused by an infection NOT stress. And the heart failure is a very common follow up problem after sepsis. @@alles2339 Well, since you're Christian, I feel like we can have a decent conversation about this. As a Christian, I too know that God is love. But I also know that he is a righteous judge. In Christianity to love someone is to, not only treat them respect and kindness, but also to tell them the truth according to the Bible. Shaming someone for something they can't help is wrong, especially when that person isn't even Christian. I think that it's all about how and when you deliver your message that makes a difference. I will say that shaming someone for what they can't help is wrong especially when that person is a brother/sister in Christ. Rather than shaming them, IF THEY WANT IT, you should help them move away from that attraction. ONLY IF THEY WANT IT. If not, the only thing you can do is love on them. As for the Christian community being toxic, it's not true. Every belief system has some bad apples and, while some beliefs systems are just plain evil, most of them tend to have a good message especially Christianity which is that God loved us so much that he died for us. Most Christians are amazing people. I've experienced both bad and good and I can tell you that the number of good outweighs the bad. I still don't know what Christian theatre is.....

what josh is saying here is crucial. i absolutely relate to the sexual abuse story. almost identical, except in the fact that the sexual abuse wasnt prolonged and that it was in an instant. I kept it inside myself for years. YEARS. and it literally destroyed my life. i didnt even know anything bad happened until i realized it. when i told my mom for the first time, it genuinely felt as if someone was pushing down on me really hard and finally let go. i felt physically lighter than i did before in a matter of 5 seconds. SPEAKING OUT ALWAYS. ALWAYSSSS. HELPS. please speak out if you are a victim of this. especially us male victims.

Very proud of you for sharing your story! I relate as well, my story is quite similar to yours. From what I remember, it was a one time thing. And, because I was so young, I completely blocked it from my memory. Despite not remembering, it has impacted my whole entire life. I have struggled with self esteem issues, because the assault made me perceive my body as disgusting. I have struggled to maintain healthy relationships, because I had trouble differentiating between “romantic” and platonic relationships and could not believe someone would want to be around me simply to be around me rather than yk abuse me. It wasn’t until this year actually after a severe trauma that I began to remember some pieces of the assault. I’ve only, thus far, been able to open up about my assault with my therapist but I definitely agree with the sentiment. So long as it’s somebody you trust, talking about it is definitely healing. I cannot comprehend the added challenges that must come with being a male victim. I have seen how immensely stigmatized it is within media, but as a female I cannot say I know exactly what you’re going through. I just would like to heavily emphasize YOU have immense strength and courage!! And again I’m so proud of you for sharing your story. I hear you, and I hope you continue to heal.

People perverted the reality, because they were too obsessed to face him with humilty - & even tho he was going through all of this, he'd still care more about others rather than himself! He's so well eloquent, mature for his age..his responses and bravery tells everything. Seriously, my faith in this generation slowly is getting doomed bcs of the way he's been treated, but at the same time I choose to keep up & look up more to such inspiration people like him, just to remind my self that maybe there's still a chance for this world to be a better place because of people like him. ♡

As a Josh supporter for maybe 2 years now it’s- you don’t even realize how much he went through before he became this “Big” “Well known” person and this last year has really been hell for him. I hate, I am disgusted by the way countless of people treated him and still treat him. They degrade him constantly say after day and I hate that. Saying things like “He should have died” or “He deserves that.” Like how horrible of a person do you have to be to say such vile things about someone who quite frankly you don’t even know!!?? How?! I started to tear up hearing him start opening about the SA and Abuse he went through. How is it that humans can treat other humans so poorly and with such cruelty? I can’t comprehend that. It’s disgusting. Josh would hate fans spreading rude messages on behalf and that shows just how grown up he’s become. So proud, I’m just so proud of him. You’ve got it Josh, we’re still here for you❤️

“Yes there was lots of betrayal, which is ironic” 💀💀😂😂😂
In all honesty, he is such a pure soul. To always see the good in people after the year he’s had, to forgive rather than seek revenge, shows how truly mature he is in such a superficial, self serving industry. To say no to the drama, when he could have defended his image/profited really shows his true character. I like both artists but really admire his maturity. Those comments saying terrible things about him clearly do not know him one bit/haven’t watched a single interview with him because you cannot deny how genuinely good this person is.

    Well Joshua, happy 21st Birthday.
You’re a great person to refer to for people with crises of their own and many of your songs help me as an aspiring educator, and as a man with highly sensitive temperament in my mission help kids and teens with their lives.
And Zach, in Child and Teen Development, there’s a quote similar to “Why must I hurt for you to feel okay?”
“Where did we ever get the crazy idea that in order to make children do better , first we have to make them feel worse.”
    -Jane Nelsen, Ed. D.
Words alone cannot express my gratitude for this interview.

I teared up when Joshua said the Zach sang show was a safe space to do an interview. This boy deserves all the safe spaces after this year. after what the media’s done to him, I wouldn’t blame him if he never did an interview again. Thank you Zach for being a trustworthy, sensitive, supportive place for him to open up and be his beautiful, genuine self 💛

This interview was so incredible and inspiring to watch and listen to. The way both Zach and Joshua carry themselves is so commendable. Both speak with such empathy, respect, and understanding for each other and the world. Zach is so respectful, caring, and validating in the way he asks questions and responds and is such an amazing person. Joshua has so much wisdom and life experience, more than any 21 year old should have, and he is so genuine and caring towards everyone and everything and gives respect to everyone, more than people deserve, and he is so inspiring. Thank you both for your honesty and candor and for being your true amazing selves. So much love

Have you guys noticed that a lot of people got really really mad at him for saying (as an artist and victim of harassment) artists shouldn't ignore the narrative surrounding them, but they didn't get mad at the fact that he was being harassed?

I'm glad so many people supported him for it, but i've also seen so many people coming for his neck for giving his opinion on artists' responsability, when he's an artist himself

Joshua is a truly smart guy who wants to be his best self. That's unusual itself, among actors and other "famous" people.
