@@burtro2747 record stores do still exist, but they're not nearly as common as they used to be. I'm lucky enough to have one in my town, but all the record stores in my old town went out of business. There is a chance that record stores could come back though. Vinyl records have become really popular (to the point where even Walmart sells them in stores), and a lot of bands still make CDs and cassette tapes too. The RIAA published a report back in March talking about how physical album sales have seen steady growth over the past couple of years.
That's seriously one of the most amazing things ever. Wow. Also, when Davey was up there I felt like he spent most of the time thinking, "Okay. Now how in the hell am I getting down from here?"
damn this rendition Davey did was one of the sickest I've ever seen. Like how different it was from original, while still being in the original range of the song. Best band of this era. One day they'll be looked back at like the Beatles or Rolling Stones.
People don't realize just how good this band actually is....and I don't even know if they know it! They completely continue to reinvent themselves every few years....yet somehow pull it off masterfully, without losing fans and actually gaining them!! They'll always be punk at heart because that's their attitude, they just are themselves, doing what they love and creating the "Sound" they feel is right organically! Through the years......Thank you AFI!!!
Haha "I don't even know if they know it" is so true! I find it funny that Miss Murder was what got me to check out AFI when Davey didn't even like that song (Idk if he still doesn't like it?). But yeah, the irony
I wish this video was the whole song. The band was playing awesomely here. also that guy at 1:48 with dark skin, black hair and glasses gives Davey support when he jumps up on the furniture while singing at the crowd. Then Davey grabs his hand when jumping down - that was a really nice moment. if I was there at that moment I would be stoke that Davey grab my hand :). Beautiful clip.
AFI is a bucket list band that I just never got around to seeing, but they are still playing, so I'm keeping an eye out for the next time they're close.
I saw them on (I think) their first tour with the Swingin Utters headlining. There were like 30 people there if I remember right, mostly to see SU. Crazy how big they got, this video is probably the most I've ever heard of them besides their first 7"/LP.
I am straight as an arrow yet if I met Davey I would kiss that man straight on the lips! Our generations Freddy Mercury. Eminem is a rap God...but Davey is a rock God
same. He's so friggin magnetic. I just realized they are still making music thanks to Punk Rock MBA and then I dove into most recent Blaqk Audio. I'm a millennial boomer but feel revitalized in my love for rock music for the first time in a while.
Say what you want but I truthfully feel like I don’t understand why bands change what makes them, them! The Art of Drowning was by far their best and most amazing album. It hit so good and was a masterpiece, I get it didn’t sell well at first but come on you were underground music at the time not many people are gonna know you. Watch any live show of theirs that they play the art of drowning songs and other newer album songs and the older always hit so much better and always has the crowd moving.
Everyone was dancing, everyone was dancing!!!!
& he kept lip- singing 🤣👌
You will never see anything like this again. Record stores, a thing of the past but what a joy they were. This must have been such great experience
What are you talking about? Amoeba still exists lol and they are still doing in store performances lol
@@jonathangonzalez5474 I mean in general. Record store culture doesn't exist anymore.
@@burtro2747wdym? Do you not know that its still alive and thriving?
@@swagswig 😒 Im not talking about Amoeba. " Record Stores"

UHGGGG I would love a small show like that with AFI. went to many shows like that in my youth with local bands.

That shit was on point
when they got to the ending and he was signaling the band i was confused.. what band? this was live???! hahah
I thought the same! Fucking sick.
Omfg 🔥 💙
I can't believe I wasn't aware of this.
Afi were such a big band for me back in the early to mid 2000s. Listened to them everyday along side Guns N' Roses
You already know about AFI's cover of My Michelle, then. Right? If not, you're in for a hell of a treat.
I wish I was there
🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Even Jared Leto showed up.
Jared Leto is Davey's body double, just in case.
Ducking sick
i never seen this episode of schitts creek
aaaah i wish i was there 😭
holllly shit !!
Wow.
That Amoeba is no more. Crazy.
Lol i wonder what they said after he stood on those cds.

All these years later and man... Still a horrible band, they were a wrench in the machine.
Build the wall!!
Is he the gay?
Well he has had a few public relations with women and 1 rumored, I never confirmed relationship with a man.
seems like a certain group of men
So cringy
my favorite band of all
So dope
