Definitely! It really helps to get into the world & have a lot better idea of why different families are aligned together, or why they don’t like each other. It also gives a much better idea of the geography of the world & where everyone is.

im so happy we get to witness your first experience with game of thrones!! the first season of got stands as one of the best storywise. the story telling its just second to nothing. so much forshadowing too. if you are up for it, reacting to the game of thrones lore and history videos that accompany each season would be very helpful in filling the gaps on events that these characters refer to in the show. such a detailed world with rich lore, some of the best lore in any franchise.

I really feel like Cersei (the queen) is the one who really puts ideas and ugly behaviour into Joffrey like it’s her parenting and ideas that make him mostly who he is. You can see when she is caring for his wounds 🙄, that he is aware of some of his actions and is seeking his mother’s advice (as any child would). She is the one who puts him on a pedestal and ideas in his head that he can be as arrogant and cruel as he is.

Like even if she was a good parent, I feel like he’s just the type of character who would still be the same regardless. 🤔
