No 236. Hotel Pocillos Playa (Lanzarote) Resort and Room Tour while Lazing in Lanzarote in Feb 2023

When Fiona and I first considered the Hotel Pocillos Playa in Lanzarote, there were next to no decent videos on UA-cam from guest reviewing this lovely little hotel. With this video, we hope to change this.
We simply take a walk around the resort, talking you through some of the features before taking you on in in-depth tour of our room (125): poolside walk out.
The one thing I'm keen to point out - Jet2 advertise this resort as a 4-Star. In our humble opinion, the Hotel Pocillos Playa in Lanzarote is defiantly not a 4-Star but we didn't expect it to be anything other than it was: basic but clean and comfortable.

We've just returned from 11 nights and thought it was awful, most of the hot food was luke warm at best, we had raw eggs at breakfast and chicken breast that was raw in the middle at lunch, only used the canteen (its not a restaurant) on one evening which was our first, that was enough. As you say def not a 4 star, in fact jet2 now have it at 3 star plus, more like 2 plus. Lovely resort with fantastic restaurants and we have booked the 5 star Lava Beach for next year. The wifi in our room 116 was excellent.

@audiguypaul6004 thanks for your comment. I'm so sorry to hear your visit wasn't like ours. TBH - I think we had very low expectations but were only there for 5 nights. We thought the food was OK but we only ate breakfast and lunch at the hotel because we love going out to eat at night, and there are some great local restaurants in the area. Given our experience at the H10 White Suites a few months later, going for so called 5-star on Lanzarote doesn't get you better food (in fact worse).

@@LivnTheDream We met a group of 4 ladies who were staying at Lava Beach, they were obviously very well travelled and said it was very nice, few good reviews of it on here too so might be worth a look if you go back, I'll let you know in a year

One of the most basic 4 star hotels I've ever seen ,we stay in la Geria 4 star in Los pocillos can't recommend it enough with jet 2 !!

I really appreciate your advice on this. Fiona and I will more than likely do another short trip down there in early 2025. 2024 is now filled up with our "Big Pacific Adventure," and "Saint Lucia 24." There is no way the Hotel Pocillos is 4-Star, however we quite liked it for a short break in the Canaries. Would we stay there again? Probably not but just because we want to dry something different.
