i think Steve Sutcliffe is doing a good job. i respect him even more now after seeing him driving a f1 car almost as fast as the f1-test drivers, whereas hammond and harris couldn't even get the cars out of the pit lane (check the videos)
One thing I've found fascinating is just how wide the 458 is, seriously it's huge. I've been lucky enough to be stuck behind a couple on the M25 and in London and it must be at least as wide as a Zonda or Murcielago, funny how that doesn't seem to show on video or pictures. The 12C on the other hand is exactly as big as it appears, little bigger than an Evora.
I'm confused about the 'pre-cog' function: shouldn't a competent dual-clutch transmission already preselect the next gear for you? What is the difference between doing a 'pre-cog' vs just clicking for the next gear? It seems like an extra step if one needs to 'pre-cog' to get the fastest shift times.
I think I would have a 458, just excites me more. Having said that I think the MP4 looks a lot better as a convertible, that little bit more special. I must admit though that when the camera is up high looking down on it I thought it looked like a 360 up front.
I have to say I'm not a big fan of spider's or any of that stuff, but this to me works way better then the 458 spider (I'm talking about the roof+looks) and if I'd want one "supercar spider" I think I'd buy this in a sec.

I just so much love 458 the same way as i love MP4-12C they are both great cars but those people are making me crazy because video after video you see them here and complaining about shit like they really dont have clue ... But if you live in Silicon Valley then the Mclaren is for you. If however you park it in Modena people would probably key it. Possibly pelt you with rocks aswell.

Everyone's comparing 12C Spider to 458 Spider... I'd rather compare it to SLS GT Roadster. Two cars in two extremely different discipline. One is a full-on racer, the other is a swivel-eyed destroyer of the world... Ferrari is just too 'in the middle', though it's a good car.

I was not overwhelmed by the coupe but that spider is sweet bit of kit. Maybe one day.

I personally prefer Steve over Chris. Harris is too drift-happy and Steve seems to drive the cars more properly and has a friendlier approach.
