Interesting information shared by Military Aviation History Channel yesterday on his vlog on RIAT 2024. The Finnish Airforce F/A18s use the same landing gear as the carrier based USN Hornets. The Finnish Airforce operates by dispersing its planes, operating from highways. Apparently the carrier based landing gear version is useful for highway landings. Not sure how or why. Pakistani Mirage 3s operate from highways as do Taiwanese Mirage 2k and Swedish Gripens. As far as I know, none of these have heavy-duty landing gears.

Americans use both so when you compare the two Americans have way less Radar cross section. Meaning American planes will always be detected later than Chinese planes. We also don't know about Chinese IR signature reduction measures and EW reduction measures. Chinese planes are good but they are not going to beat F35 or F22, however they will eat up any plane that is less than 5th generation if they have adequate support.

Sir this is no speculation. This is a genuine news. J-31s have started to fly without there pitot tubes which is used in testing. So this means, the testing is finished. Atleast regarding the external airframe it's done. So all that's left is pre-production evaluation. So the timeline actually looks to be 2025 september- december.
How pakistan is planning to buy these jets when your country is asking IMF for bailout packege . From where you get money to buy these jests and 5th gen jets are very expensive to run even after buying . Will IMF give you permission to buy these jets.
@@artsc8405 This is Pakistan's issue and Pakistan have managed to sort these issues even before. And remember Pakistan Military have parallel economy of its own which can manage to buy and equip itself with such military equipment on its own.

And what you're saying about the generals is not from this economy. That is their individual matter, which they get from different kickbacks and other comissions and also have their own businesses. You don't know about Fauji Cement, Fauji foundation and other askari industries, There is one of the most important banks in Pakistan which is called Askari Bank, which is of military. Many Prominent universities are of military like Bahria and Air. They don't give anything to individuals and also they are being checked and audited by Army as an institute. So it's not as you think.
