School Karate Class in the Snow, Japan

Taken from the end of an NHK World news bulletin 8th January 2015. This is an annual event where one school in Japan holds a karate class outside, in the snow... barefoot! This year 37 children ages 4-5 lined up to perform punches and kicks before heading back into the classroom for some warming, sweet red bean soup!
