One of the greatest intellectuals ever. It would be a blessing to go back in time and discuss history with this mastermind.

Priceless, it really is about being able to see it from a larger perspective, at least at the beginning of our inquiries.

I love how they're standing so uncomfortably close to each other. :D

I don't think Durant is so comfortable 😃

The microphone looks very directional, so they likely had to stand close to pick up both their voices. Some reporters hate having to switch the microphone back and forth.

Reporter: "Blah blah, lowest-common-demoninator, blah blah. Blah blah?"
    Durant: "No ..." for 4 minutes. 🤣

Never heard Mr. Durant's voice before, though I've long been familiar with his magnificent histories. Obviously smart, he seemed personable, looking dapper & courtly as well. The interviewer seemed a little uninformed, asking rather childish questions. He wasn't terrible by any means just a little odd in his questioning & demeanor. For my money, the interview could've been much longer; on the other hand, since the interviewer kind of ruined it for me anyway, perhaps it was well it ended when it did. A pity.

You can hear him on Information Please Episode 323 1944-11-06. He was on the show with Christopher Morley

No it was perfect the way it was. If he didn't ask the questions in a original and very brittish manner he never would have got such a thought provoking answer. These sorts of things can't be studied for nor can they be asked by someone who doesn't k ow what he's talking about

Can some enterprising individual please create an AI voice from this ? I’d like to hear Will Durant narrate his books.
