What makes a cave creepy?...sometimes those mannequins up the creepiness quota! It looks like an interesting place to visit with a lot of other things to see in the same area. Good you seized the opportunity on your way back from Avebury.
Nice video, It was interesting that you can now go in the inner temple. I managed to see the church and go up the steeple for the stunning views and look close up at the mausoleum. Are you going back up there?
At last you have ventured my side of the Thames! I have been twice to the Caves & once to the Church directly above the caves with a golden ballon top- very distinctive! Honestly those mannequins ( some of them ) are very old from tableaux I remember- either that or they have been re-modelled- they do look the worse for wear! Nobody can make their minds up if it was a very evil cabal or just a bit of 18C fun. You could visit West Wycombe House just close by ,was National Trust- nowadays not sure- home of the Dashwood family. It’s often spotted in films! Very interesting Marq. Caves close by used( or could have been used) to house the coalition Govt.during the 2nd World War. ( in case they had been bombed out of Westminster. Think whole area dotted with caves!
I was on my way back from Avebury and thought it was a good opportunity to have Re-visit to the Caves. I wanted to do a Video from the Village itself but time was a factor.

I didn't do the Church or Mausoleum as on s time schedule but have seen them before.

What an interesting place - reminds me a bit of the caves in Hastings with all the mannequins and slightly odd piped music!
