  • The Dhari Devi Temple is situated between the towns of Srinagar and Srinagar in Uttarakhand, India, on the banks of the Alaknanda River. It is believed that the face expression of the goddess statue changes three times a day. In the morning, the deity appears very cheerful, while during the day, her expression becomes peaceful and calm. In 2013, during a natural disaster, the temple remained safe. However, when the GVK company constructed a dam on the Alaknanda River, they relocated the temple, including the stone on which it originally stood, to ensure it wouldn't get submerged after the dam's completion. Today, the temple stands in the middle of the dam, and people from all over the country and abroad come to seek the blessings of Dhari Maa. She is also known as the guardian of the Char Dham (four sacred pilgrimage sites) in the region
