  • In this vlog we are going on a hike to visit our old village. Our old village is called Nasiriva and it is where our forefathers lived before they moved to our current village Navuti.
Nasiriva was known as the village with strong warriors and for conducting warfare. Its location made it impossible to conquer. Today we can still see the remains of the old village as you can find foundation of the houses and shells where our forefathers brought from the sea all the way up to the mountain where the village was located.
This vlog brings us back in time as we take a look at how our forefathers lived back in a time where Fiji was called The Cannibal Isle.

Having not long come back from Fiji I have to say, while they have little, they are the richest people in the world. They have massive hearts and beautiful minds. I would love to go back.

They are rich because they have lands and the sea to eat from! Unlike the people living overseas who rely on supermarkets.

People pay big money to visit old archeological sites. As aspiring entrepreneurs, with the village elders consent, is to start thinking of historical tours to the old village. One can come to the island, one, two or 3 day trip, and incorporate fishing, cooking, and visiting the olld sites. Not only will you able to make money to help the village, but your history and Fiji for that matter, is kept alive. By watching your videos, there is so much potential... and the highlight is the history of Moturiki.
God bless you and your grp

Elenoa Lesuma..Yeah that(Nasiriva, Moturiki)same village strategy was later used for Korolevu mountain fort above Lovoni Ovalau..Which was why they were very hard to defeat in those years came down to Cakobaus time.Because the two main ancestors of Lovoni and Ovalau named Saurara(Batitamata) and later on Rakavono both came from Davetalevu i vanua, Moturiki..They possesed the Sau and Mana of their pre-flood land during those ages..Saurara(Batitamata) left earlier on with Tui Naikasi of Nacamaki Koro and other ancestors of Lomaiviti like Mautu ll of Koro, his brother Rokotaloko of Gau,their dad Radikedike left for Verata then later took a couple from Verata to Kaba then to Gau..Who were supposed to go to Nukuloa old village but stopped at Sawaieke,Vuvulo got off at Toki(Ovalau) and Rawakaya who got off at Korolevu Wakaya,Batiratu of Delailagi,Vatoa(Batiki),Vunivanua nd TuiWai who sailed all the way to Vuna Taveuni..etc..Why the name Korolevu and Vuniivilevu are both in Vuna today.
Rakavono was a son of Nakumilevu,a son of Tura from his second wife..Tura was a former Tui Davetalevu in the 14th century AD before he fled the cannibalism practiced there(Moturiki) to Naicobocobo Bua..

Warrior people that are loyal to Verata. A group of people from this village then left the island and settle on Naitauba Island.
Their chief was called Mai Nasiriva. This people were the terror of the Bligh Waters who stopped all who wished to assist Bau in the wars.
The Vatulawa waters is named after Vatulawa who is the warrior who was leading the attack.
This same people are no longer in Naitauba but are in the village of Kocoma, Qamea in Taveuni.

That could be true, because there are names in Qamea which connected or had originated from Moturiki..They had names like Na-ivi-ivi(Naivi was another name for Vuniivilevu or Davetalevu)..Qamea have land names like Natuvu and Nasovu, both names are in Uluibau(South Moturiki)..They also had Nauluvatu(chiefly abode now underwater near Nasautabu sandbank in Davetalevu waters, south east Moturiki)and Nauluvatu hill where Toras house sits nowadays at Uluibau,Moturiki..etc..Tuvuca near Vanua Balavu also have the name Navuti..nd other names link to Navuti which I have to research nd get them names down here..Even Tura(14th century) who fled away from Davetalevu fort(Uluibau Moturiki) to Naicobocobo Bua had his place of rest called Talau on DelaiseoTura. And the name Talau was an ancient piece of land in Navuti Moturiki..Which was also taken by Sui the teeange warrior(also known as Tui Motuliki) who left Delanikoro(Nasauvuki,Moturiki) to Tonga..He was known in Tonga as Tui Talau the owner of Vavau..Even the traditional name of the Tui Sabeto in west Viti Levu was called the Taukei Natalau.Talau was that ancient piece of land of Navuti Moturiki as I mentioned above.
Their role to Verata prior to Bau was because Roko Mautu nd Lutunasobasoba himself were son nd grandson of Tura(14th century Tui Davetalevu of Uluibau southern fort of Moturiki)..So its(Verata) like a branch out fort from Davetalevu Moturiki..

Yeah that piece of history mentioned by Uraia at 20:00 is the same idea still used today in the Fiji parliament, where a policeman used to carry the Tutuvikuta nei Radinibau warclub(originally owned by a Moturikian prince who was the 1st Roko Tui Bau in the 1600s - Ratu Vuetis warclub ,later owned by their warlord nd self proclaimed Fiji king in the 1800s - Rt Cakobau) to signify the opening of the Parliament meetings.
That was used to be done by the Nasiriva(Navuti) gigantic twin brothers Vononimadralevu nd Waqanivalu back in the days..That was sometimes between the early BC decades to the 800 yrs AD..When the Burotu Empire used to rule the Pacific islands from the Korovatu stone fort on the Davetalevu nd Vunuku reef(south east Moturiki). When they all sat there waiting in their Burevatu temple,nd those twins used to carry their war clubs through the entrance of the network of chiefs meeting temple in that capital city of Fiji.To signify the opening of the network of chiefs meeting.
Their secret weapon which used to fire liquid substances that sliced through the waters or sea nd still burning with fire, was later introduced to the Empire from Fiji) that ruled the Pacific nd colonised the world from the early BC decades to the 800yrs AD.They were the worlds oldest civilization, scientifically called as Lemurians by scholars because of their capabilities. But they were Fijian giants right after the flood who were members of the Burotu Empire. We can see in the link below a brief explanation of that liquid fire,/ so called Greek fire also known as sea-fire or Roman fire from the 678 yrs AD,7th century AD onwards ..But the Burotu Empire of Fiji used it earlier on, as mentioned on the Nasiriva post above from Navuti Moturiki .
    scontent-lcy1-1.xx.fbcdn.net/v/t1.18169-9/13775807_276532926040077_813592766500880938_n.jpg?stp=cp0_dst-jpg_e15_fr_q65&_nc_cat=100&ccb=1-7&_nc_sid=2d5d41&efg=eyJpIjoidCJ9&_nc_ohc=2OVY2z4mR_gAX9WGqqh&tn=hXE67OkXgQg4n8nQ&_nc_ht=scontent-lcy1-1.xx&oh=00_AfAXolNV_fJUC0sq4pdEmQiz-x_VCKA5GUw8c303uYJA6g&oe=638B4BAF
Yeah liquid fire/Greek fire/sea fire or Roman fire mentioned on the link above to be invented by Kallinikos of Syria was first used in the Pacific by Fijis Burotu Empire. As a substance/ material used in that liquid fire was Bitumen, which can mostly be found on seafloors or Ocean floors. And during those early yrs, normal men can't reach the bottom of the ocean or sea in a free dive, only the giants from Fiji with superhuman breaths/ strengths could fetch bitumen from ocean floors or seafloors.Read the eastern colonisers who influenced Noahs descendant after the flood as written in Genesis 11.They baked bricks for stones and mortar for aphalt or bitumen(found mostly on seafloors.)
The Burotu empires' main headquarter or stronghold was at that time used to be based in the Korovatu stone fort on the reef of Davetalevu(Uluibau reef today) nd Vunuku(Daku reef today) on the south east end of the island of Moturiki. The magnetic stones of their city were later transported to West Katau then Pohnpei in Micronesia because of sealevel rose in Fiji at that time.Known overthere in Micronesia as the Nan Madol ocean city. One of that Burevatu in that Korovatu is still called "Dau" to this day in Nan Madol ocean city of Micronesia.Dau was the second name for the late Rokouli(Uraia,Josese nd Timocis grand father). In Long form, was Daunivalu. We can see that name Dau on the right side of Nan Madol aerial elevation in the link below.
    images.app.goo.gl/PETW963uMv2Bm61k9
That sea-level rose happened to bring the Fijian saying "Torocake na ua toro cake na kolokolo"..They raised the stones structural fences on a number of times, but was flooded, that brought the end of that Korovatu stone fort on the Davetalevu Moturiki reef.Which once reigned in the Pacific islands right from after the flood to the 8th century AD.
The chosen warriors of that Empire(Burotu) were sent away overseas all throughout their millennium yrs of reigned to spread their art of civilization to other parts of the world.Burotu was their extended family houses name still used by their(Uraia,Josese nd Timoci) uncles nd cousins on their grandmother's village at Nasesara Moturiki today.
Also, there are names still lives on Moturiki which commemorated that mysterious transportation account. Those are Names like Korovatu means stone fort,Korobaba-village built with structural fences,Vatulavelavesa means lifted sacredstones,Vatuwaqa Levu-stones loaded on a big boat,Vatuwaqa Lailai means stone loaded on a small boat,Delainawaqaibonu means on top of a serpent boat plus an ancestors name from Moturiki who later went to Verata nd Gau was called Rabakanawa.
Again Bakanawa was the name of a canoe smaller in size than the Drua.In the Philippines it(Bakanawa) means a dragon.Which nailed the history of that stone transportation from Fiji to Pohnpei Micronesia. Because in a Pohnpei legend about Nan Madol ocean city, they said that a large serpent or flying dragon helped the two gigantic brothers on the transportation of those magnetic stones from the South Pacific to Pohnpei Micronesia. And a part of the Bakanawa canoe is called Naivavada, which was named after a hill below Delainawaqaibonu(on top of a serpent boat) in Uluibau Moturiki.Vaka era vayacani kece vadua dua na gauna e Moturiki mei vakananumi ni toso ya.
That maritime stone aged Empire scientifically called Lemurians gave rise to all those kingdoms nd empires started from Babelonia,Perisia,Greece,Egypt,Rome and Anglo Americans. We can witnessed them in an Italian born ancient Greek writers piece of writing, who said that the Egyptian themselves said that their ancestors came from the direction of the setting Sun,they settled at the back of the Nile river in remote times, brought with them their art of civilization nd their polished language from their motherland. Fiji is where the sunrises and sets..And interestingly the name of a pharoah in the 16th BC Egypt Kingdom/Empire was called Tao..
Tao was the name which still used for their(Uraia,Josese nd Jim) extended families house on Navuti village,Moturiki today.Another name of an Egyptian pharoah was called Niusere which is a surname of an extended family from Niubasaga Moturiki who lives in Nabua Suva. One of them was the 1988-1989 Fiji local 7s champion the unbeaten Nabua 7s teams lanky prop forward called Ilaitia Lalai(RIP).One of his older brothers son lives in Australia to this day called Mosese "Niusere" .
There were other Fijian names on the Egyptian pharoah lineages like Seti,Teti,Ramisese,Kanaka, and Tanutamani.Ra(province in Fiji) was their sungod and Tura(Fijian ancestors name, who was a former Tui Davetalevu Moturiki before he fled to Bua bcos of cannibalism in southern Moturiki ) was the quarry where they extracted the sandstones nd limestones from, which they built the pyramids in Giza Egypt and the gigantic concentric circles in Mauritania. And Medina(me dina) was a Biblical name for a centurion in Egypt.Resembled that with the 3 sets of Concentric circles and 3 bowels encrypted and dug on a big petroglyphed stone found on Korobaba swamp beside Uluibau village,Moturiki. It was also found on 4 other petroglyphs of Cakaudrove and Taveuni nd one big pile of stones built in that format found on Vatia peninsula in Ba,north west Viti Levu,Fiji. They all part of those Fijian colonisers who spread their civilization around the world in those days.

A name found on an ancient site in Hungary Europe was still called Burotukukula. It was named by those proto- Fijians or paleo Fijians..
Those were the days of gigantic people with superhuman strengths, astronomical knowledge, surgical knowledge, mathematician knowledge, powers of turn into demigod inorder to do certain tasks, levitation knowledge..etc,who were members of the Burotu Empire that ruled the Pacific islands from the early BC decades to the 800yrs AD..As we can see that Uraia just showed a broken pot frm the ancient maritime Empire milleniums reigned, newly called Lapita today..Burotu was the paradise land located in the heart of Bulu in the underwater of Davetalevu seafield.Which was later named by Kubunavanua(son of Tura former Tui Davetalevu Moturiki ) as Burotukula(with no sign of civilization in its underwater or the reefs near it) on the spiritual dreamland of southern Fiji waters which also used to be seen in other parts of Fiji (Davetalevu seafield was one of them).

We do not eat human meat on daily basis. We only eat human meat during war or when warriors return from raids.
80% of our ancestors life are mainly normal food.
Missionaries and white people tend to portray our ancestors life as mainly cannibal in all aspects of life.
    Victors rewrite history.

But the names of ancient Davetalevu, Moturiki ancestors nd their temple or Burekalou depicted that they had consistent cannibalism practices..They had names like Kamunagauluna(means the one who treasured human heads by stored them up in his Lololo(small thatched hut for yams) like a tabua to comsume them daily).Another one called Batitamata who later crossed over to Ovalau..And their Burekalou which is underwater now called Naisatamata(means humans were top braces of a temple)..
He is talking about a practiced done within an Empire which ruled Fiji and the Pacific islands from the early BC decades to the 800yrs AD. When their kings/chiefs nd warriors were giants with Sau nd Mana. Whatever they said or want were done or happened..They were the same people who influenced the whole world with them their art of civilization.Witnessed by Malaysians and Papua new Guineans in Frank Josephs ebook called The Lost civilization of Lemurian which said that there was a splendid and powerful headhunting kingdom from the east, where the sunrises and sets, which used to rule the whole Pacific islands in the olden days. We can even see them mentioned by an Italian born ancient Greek writers piece of writing on the link below.

These are warriors who helped chiefly villages of Bau on Fijis main island win wars. The wars won
were mainly fought by these brave men of Lomaiviti as requested by the chief of bau. Almost all the wars the warriors of Lomaiviti were asked by the then Kings of any island or village in Fiji to participate and help bcoz of their violent, unique and skillfull tactics of war..This is just one of the many villages in the Lomaiviti group that those warriors were from...'Nasiriva Na koro qaqa' 'The Home of the Brave'

Lomaiviti maritime warriors in the past were even asked by a King of Tonga to go nd teach the Tongan army their art of war in the sea. After that the Tongan King gave them land nd they lived there at Kolomatua nd one of their village is still called Lomaiviti to this day.
Even William Bligh got chased by two fast paced double hulled Drua canoes from the Lomaiviti waters until they fled past Yasawa. Then those two Lomaiviti Drua canoes retreated back to Lomaiviti. That happened in 1789.

Bula Meme, i wont change who i am or how i act just because the camera is on. I would never ask the boys to change who they are or how they act just because the camera is on. I want Them to Express their personality freely and be themselves at all times and that makes it authentic. This is how we speak to eachother on a Daily basis because we are veitavaleni. Every video goes through the UA-cam review process before it is published and every video have been approved 😊 Thanks for watching 😊
