I'm watching from Houston, TX. Love your tree. I always look forward to your tree decorating videos. Thank you for sharing your techniques. Wishing you a Merry Christmas!
Thank you so much for that amazing feedback. That is so nice to hear! :-) I'm originally from Houston and I still have family there. I'm sure I'll head that way for some portion of the Christmas holidays. Happy holidays!!
Just subscribed! I’m 19, but I aspire to be like this as a full adult/wife/mom, bc I feel like having this touch is just such a beautiful woman thing!! 🙌
I absolutely loved this video, thanks for the tips and the tricks. I plan to incorportate some of your tips into my decorating this year. Thanks for the share🥰💗
Wow! Thank you for all the support! Being from Dallas, have you ever been to Decorator’s Warehouse in Arlington? It’s one of my favorite Christmas stores. I wish it was closer, but my wallet is glad I’m not! Thanks for saying hi!!
Hey I'm watching all the way from a little town called Oldham in the north of England UK! .also I'm so glad the big tree is back this year it's really cool x
I love the idea of living in a quaint town in England...especially in the context of Christmas. It always makes me think of the movie The Holiday, which is one of my favorites! Thanks so much for the comment. Cheers!!
I actually spell my name with a ‘C’ as well! And I’m originally from Houston, though I’ve lived in Oklahoma for almost 20 years. Thanks for the comment! Happy holidays!!
@@themadeupokie Awesome, not too many people spell Catherine with a "C" Again, I think Catherine is such a classy and elegant name. I hope you have a fabulous Christmas . Stay safe!
Hello from sunny Southern California!! Love your holiday decorating videos! I'm getting so excited to decorate for the holidays!!! (I love that your tree came with gloves! Definitely fancy!) Btw... my mom was from Oklahoma!!!
Some sun sounds pretty nice right about now. I'm a warm weather person at heart as I'm originally from Houston. :-) But I love that you've got some "okie" family roots! Hope this helped get you in the holiday decorating mood. Thanks for your support! Happy holidays!!
Hi, I'm from colorado and just got my 12' balsam hill tree. Would love to see any good you have for getting the top couple of sections assembled. Seemed like i had to reach pretty far with heavy sections to get assembled
Hi in Colorado! And congrats on your new tree! I continue to love mine. But I definitely understand the challenge with assembling towards the top. Typically I use our 10’ A-frame ladder and shove it as close to the tree as possible to minimize the reach I have to do with hose heavy sections. But last year we actually rented a lift to hang ornaments from the ceiling and I made use of that to assemble and decorate the tree. That made it so easy, but was definitely a bit “extra”. Good luck and happy decorating!
Hi in San Antonio! It’s been a while since I’ve been there, but I’ve always enjoyed my time in SA. If you need any additional inspiration for your tree, I have a whole tree decorating playlist with tons of different styles and color schemes. I think the planning is almost as fun as enjoying the tree through the season! Cheers!!
Could you show me what this tree loos like at the top with the spot light in it? I'd like to see how much brighter it is. Please. Maybe do a picture or video of it during the day and could you do one at night. ? If it's too much, I understand.
Hi there! This video was made last year and when I decorated this year I decided I didn’t need both the spotlight and the umbrella light so I don’t have the spotlight that I can readily film. I do have some video of how it looks in a different tree from above so you can maybe get a better idea. Do you use Instagram? If so, I’ll DM you some video. Just let me know your handle. Cheers!
Beautiful and great ideas! I am definitely going to copy the top of the tree I can not find the umbrella lights there no longer available, maybe led meteor rain lights will work
Thank you for the feedback! I saw Frontgate had a similar product, though they called it something different and not sure the size options. Maybe they still have it in stock (with sale pricing even?!) If not, definitely check out Decorator’s Warehouse around summertime. That’s when they start getting their inventory in for the upcoming holiday season. I’m sure they’ll restock these. Hope that helps! Happy New Year!
Hi in Florida! I had to look up Hialeah on the map. I’ve never been that far south in Florida. Maybe someday! I have family in Tampa. Thanks for saying hi! Happy holidays!!
One of the things I love about finding out where people live is getting to look up places on the map I’ve never heard of before. And though I’d never heard of Oshawa, I now know where it is! One day I hope to travel to Canada. 🤞🏻 Thanks for saying hello. Happy holidays!!
Hi! Thank you for the feedback! Currently I’m using my tree skirt from my previous tree, which had the same diameter, but the stand wasn’t as tall as this one so I think it worked a bit better on the previous. It’s a 60” skirt and while it’s workable, I think I want to replace with something around 65” at some point. Hope that helps. Happy decorating!!
The big reindeer came from At Home. They have them in silver and gold this year both in-store and online. The poinsettias came from a physical store in the Dallas, Tx area called Decorator’s Warehouse, though they do have website with a good amount of their in-store inventory. They have the BEST florals!
As much as I’d love that, I have a non-decorating full time job so I’d struggle to find the time. Maybe someday when it “retire” I can start a second career! 😉
11 months later, in Kentucky. My 12 ft tree is always my nemesis and I’m ready to love it. So far this year (yes I started it already) I’m not loving it. 😅
My motto in that case is “when in doubt, just add more!” Hopefully I gave you a few ideas, but I definitely understand what a monumental task a 12’ tree can be. I’m in the midst of my decorating my house as well. Good luck!!
Hi I'm from Oklahoma City Oklahoma and I love Christmas and decorating Christmas trees. I always wanted that experience department store looking Christmas tree.
