It's probably an oversimplified solution, but I think they should just give out say 35 DFS points for any fighter in a dropped fight (or no contest fight from the first round). It's not ideal, you'd feel bad if you had a favourite who dropped out and okay if you had a big underdog, but I think it'd be better than nothing. I'd also like to see fighters get half the win bonus (so in draftkings, 15 points) in the rare occassion of a draw. Always feels a bit weird when a fight is judged a draw and that means that fight is just super low scoring on both sides because nobody is getting the +30.
Agreed that Weidman definitely should have had a point taken. He poked him in the eyes four times, including the twice that led to the finish. If you're fouling repeatedly, and in a way that leads to the fight being stopped prematurely as it was here, then how can that not be a point deduction? And in my opinion, Silva was winning round 3. (and if you look on the official scorecards, round 3 was scored and counted despite only being a minute or so long). Judges seem to have disagreed, but if you take out the ground shots Weidman got after the double eye poke, Silva was outstriking him 7 to 5 in round 3, and landing the bigger shots too. So that's 29-28 Weidman, but then you take away the point, that fight should have been a 28-28 draw. So I don't think they got to the right decision, even after they changed it.

Fiorot didn’t show the blueprint to beat Blanchfield. JJ Aldrich showed that blueprint. She was up two rounds then made a mistake. Santos was doing the same too until she gassed. This was one of the easiest picks of the year for me. +165 was ridiculous value.

@@ronbarde6598 Many ways. Silva moved extremely slow, was scared to engage with Weidman and was hardly landing anything. I study fight footage carefully and there's no way Silva performs the way he did in a real fight. Then the eye pokes which should be ruled DQ or NC lead to a TKO win for Weidman.
Even the official results vary with Weidman wins TKO by eye pokes and punches or Weidman unanimous decision following eye pokes. What a joke

I think if a fight gets cancelled after draft kings locks they should give both fighters a median score. 50 pts or so. Sure, you’re still not gonna win an mtt, but at least your line up will still be live to cash. Getting zero pints is almost impossible if a fight occurs and being punished so heavily for a cancelled fight just ain’t right.

Soon as Loopy lost, I just shut my phone off and I was pissed because I had her in a lot of my lineups. Now I turned my phone back on and look at Draft kings and see a lot of my lineups are destroyed even moreso with others I had in those lineups losing as well. I have lineups where one person only won, lineups where only two people won in it. You know Draftkings and UFC... Whoever the majority picks that's heavily favored, they are gonna have the least favored win the fight more often than not.

I noticed most the night the favorites for over/under on round props were almost never hitting. Barely any fights went the ways we expected (round and method of victory prop wise), leading to a terrible night for everyone lol

UFC choice to make Chris win into a dec ruin my 3 loggers with Nate and Nelson.
Fight cancellations are a reason why I do not play DraftKings. I think one option to solve this is when a fight is cancelled - to award the average DK points that a fighter has attained during their UFC tenure. If a fighter has no DK history, unfortunately no points are awarded. Another option is to create a default value of points to be awarded per the DK value of a fighter who is cancelled. ie $7,000 = 30 points.. etc. Or the easy argument is , that at the end of the day it is all a gamble either way, and if your fighter is cancelled tough shit, because it could happen to your opponent as well and you won't complain, we only complain when it happens to us.

maybe they can fix the fight cancellations by automatically giving you the next cheapest fighter that hasn't fought to replace your fighter that is cancelled (or allow you to chose any fighter with a cheaper salary). If there are none that are cheaper, then you are just down a fighter as it currently stands.
They shud give you the next cheapest by default. Best solution.

You thought Buckley looked good? Movement looked good visually but he just kept lunging in whiffing on shots. And what power? The shots he did land never even rocked Luque. The one takedown Luque attempted he got, then in the second round he decided to pull guard, Buckley punched Luques hands and arms for awhile and Luque just quit. It does matter ONLY if the first 2 criteria are to close to judge then you move to the next. But that should of NEVER been a split decision.
One round scored intentionally incorrectly is "RIGGING", they do it on every card.

There should be a universal time out call to the ref for eye pokes. The new rules didn't see a 5 minute break, doctor or something to aid the injury. 2 fighters die to thier own inability to defend and got clipped. Anyway I think the fight was waved off after Weidman finished him. Retirement KO for Chris Weidman.

I sent a message to Super Draft last night to tell them about the Gato vs Dudokova fight cancelled. I told them that many people lost a lot of money due to this situation of cancelling fights at last second and they doing nothing about it. I told them to refund my two tickets because it wasn't my fault. I told them that they're going to have a lot of legal issues in the future if they don't fix this situation.
they need to let you have a 1 time pick line up change if the fight is cancelled, they should let you lock even after the fights start, but just a 1 time choice, it would have to be very situational, or they should refund every lineup with a cancelled fighter. honestly that was a big thing for me last night, it made me feel as if i wasted my money with every 5/6 fighter lineup i had. also it made me want to play dfs less. definitely a bad experience i will not forget, on the other hand, i hit big on 3 pick parley ruziboev, buckley, fiorot. so the good overweighs the bad! hope you have better luck next week. i know that algeo fight probably had you facepalming lol
The pacing of that card was horrendously slow. And it should have started about an hour earlier. Never played DFS, but could they just let you line up "backup" fighters that automatically get slotted in order of your preference if another fighter happens to drop, assuming salary is within range?

Protect yourself at all times means don’t let yourself be permanently hurt. It doesn’t mean you win off an eye poke. The people at fault are Rusiboev for the eye poke and the ref, not SD. An eye poke is not “well within the rules” lol
Same with Weidman. Taking advantage of poking your opponents eye to then jump on them and go for the finish is honor less and it is not within the rules. How the hell did they “get to the right result” lol

I thought loopy won. Rounds 2 & 3 she landed all the strikes when they were on the feet. In a real fight i would rather be the person that landed hard clean strikes for half the round (round 3) rathen then the one who just held on to the back & landed like 5 strikes from that position. Yeah she went for a choke but it was never even close. That shouldnt out weigh the strikes loopy landed on the feet. Mma judging is so wishy washy this is why i need to stop betting wmma. The strikers dont have enough power so even if they land the clean hard strikes the judges i guess just dont notice & favor the boring grapplers that do no damage from there (dominant) positions.
