Your body produces CO2 so that is probably not an issue. But you are probably correct that some of the toxins in cigarette smoke are also present in the environment.

You get dry macular degeneration first. However, I believe there are no symptoms with dry AMD. So you won't know you have dry AMD unless it is advanced (geographic atrophy) or unless you are examined by an ophthalmologist.
I am 30 and I have MD. both of my eyes are full of drusen and my vision is getting blurrier. Why no one is talking about MD developed in young people????
