Thank you so much. Just one question. Have you ever used linen in a quilt? And, seeing that it’s so soft, did you stabilise it to control the softness and reduce the fray? Thank you. If you haven’t, what was your reason?

      Hi Hazel
I have used an occasional piece here and there and I did not stabilize it just because it would have only been just a piece or two from something I recycled. I have never made a quilt of just linen. I probably wouldn’t make one myself, just because I have never really had enough linen to do a whole quilt, and it just would be more flimsy for me to work with, and I know me….. lol…… I’d get frustrated lol….I think though if I did, I would stabilize it. I hope this helps. Thank you so much for watching! 😊🧵🪡❤️🌼🌺

@@sewandquiltwithaprilsawtelle thank you so much for your response. I am hand piecing a memory story bed quilt and I bought a few pieces of linen because the colours were so beautiful. The irregular large house blocks and road are 50/50 linen and cotton, and I’m nearly done with the large centrepiece. I started having doubts. I have been busy now two months. Fortunately I stabilised every piece of linen I used. Thank you very much.
