I've seen lots of tutorials and I have my 3 favourite "teachers" from youtube, and it just seems you are begginig in youtube by your subscribers, but you explain so well! I've learned some very good details just watching one video!! Let's see others!! :)))
Man i'm only at 3:45 but you give so much useful information that I had no clue even for searching this kind of topic. Thank you very much, keep going.
I learned more in this video than any other Serum video. Question, does stacking essentially add another oscillator? You stacked an octave on both oscillators so do we now have 4 total?
Thanks for sharing such a good tutorial. Just a maybe silly question: do you recommend to use the FXs from the synth instead of the DAW ones? Or combine both? (or this last makes no sense) Thx!
That’s a great question! The biggest reason to use the FX within the synth would be to be able to modulate the FX parameters as part of your sound design. So for example you could have N envelope modulating a filter as part of your sound design and then you could also modulate the reverb amount with that same envelope. Additionally, using the FX in the synth means you can create something you like, save the preset, and then it’s all self-contained. That being said, I still use other plugins outside the synth all the time. So it’s not really a rule or anything. Some synths have particular strengths and weaknesses with effects too. Like serum’s multiband compressor is pretty highly regarded! Hope that helps. Thanks for watching!
Thanks for watching. I mean, the knobs and sliders are hard to line up exactly the same! Perhaps that’s why it sounds different? Is it super different or just not exactly? Did you use the same wave tables? It’s ok if it’s not exactly the same anyway - you should make it your own! 🕺

I will listen to this!

@@OSCILLATR Thanks a lot for your extensive answer, it really helps
i followed all the steps before modulation and i dont have the same sound. i wonder whats wrong

Bro, i followed all the steps and mine sounded nothing like his.weird
12 stacked saw waves = 80s sound? don't think so.. just 2 oscillators detuned so they start fighting each other, that's the 80's sound.
But what if I like more?!?!? 😜
@@OSCILLATR what's the point of the title then
You can do the before and after of stacking. Stacking adds a ton of sound.
@@nogoodkeister9251 what's the point of this comment 🤣🤣💀did you click reply on the wrong comment or what
