you can't be lazy and still have the liberty to choose what you want.

    quote (Robert Becker, The Body
    Electric, 1984)
    J. F. Schapitz, in 1974, did a study with volunteers. The study involved
using modulated microwaves to send signals to the brains of human
subjects. Sending hypnotic suggestions, in conjunction with
environmental, or external cues; recording brainwaves of a subject who
had been put into a drugged state, and sending the very same signals
into an different individual not under any drug influence. (see R. O.
Becker, pg.321). 1984 The Body Electric: Electromagnetism And The Foundation Of Life 1st Edition by Robert Becker,‎ Gary Selden
In his book, Robert Becker states that as early as the
1960s, the CIA provided funding for research into remote influence of
human cognition, consciousness, and behavior, by way of electromagnetic
fields, EMR, modulated microwave, and extremely low frequency, or ELF.
It is possible that as early as the 1970s, by way of radar and
satellite, the military, and the CIA, had capabilities to subject,
unwittingly, humans to the technologies here in referred to, namely,
what has been denoted in recent decades as non-lethal weapondry, but
more specifically, technologies aimed at neuro-physiological
    interference, influence, and control .

The methods for any applications to Zizek's predictions could be aerospace. I beg to differ with the term 'prediction'. There is evidence that these capabilities may have been exploited for a few decades already. I have a list of quotes on the following blog page that includes a 1999 EU resolution; Dennis Kucinich's 2001 Space Preservation Act; Sonoma University Report and a 1998 warning in a report by Morton Sklar and World Organization Against Torture: farfromdakar.wordpress.com/references-emerging/
"Dr. Ross Adey’s work for NASA demonstrates the historic fact of the unity of aerospace and bio-neuroscience, on the basis of biotelemetry for the moon mission. This would later lay the foundation, for medicine and the military to exploit these
    findings." validconcern.wordpress.com/marriage-of-neuroscience-and-aerospace-nasa-and-bio-science/
Below a quote from Lieutenant Colonel John B. Alexander, US Army: The New Mental Battlefield - ‘Beam Me Up, Spock’ (Military Review VOLUME LX DECEMBER 1980 NO 12)
    1980 article:
    quote:
The complexity of the battlefield is constantly increasing. Introduction of new and
sophisticated technology requires commanders to be fully aware of the
nature of a potential threat as well as countermeasures and counter-
countermeasures. In addition to more widely known tech- nological
advances, a new battlefield dimension that may defy our
generally perceived concepts of time and space looms on the horizon.
This field is sometimes called psychotronics or bioenergetics.
Two subdivisions of this field have also been investigated.
Mind~altering techniques designed to impact on an opponent are
well-advanced. The procedures employed include manipulation of human
behavior through use of psychological weapons effecting sight, sound,
smell, temperature, electromagnetic energy or sensory deprivation.
    end quote

The irony is now there is a Zizek Ai bot that sounds as "deep" as Zizek. Goes to show you how humans are impressionable and gullible and easily woo'd
