Great Job Doc, This is very powerful, practical and practicable. I love all 5 and I know they are part of a whole... But I'm particularly drawn to number 2. I love it! Keep up the fantastic work!
Thanks for the message Sir. I often take my personal setbacks well very personal. One of the things I've been working this year is being kinder to myself and that includes setting better boundaries, even internal ones. Things didn't go my way but that doesn't mean my worth or purpose was challenged. It never was though it felt like it was. It was my perception of my own worth. If I say Jesus loves me, then that's it, it should be solidify. So in kindness with better boundaries, I can appreciate when I put it effort and learn to adjust when the outcome isn't my ideal. Its not that don't want a certain outcome but my perception of myself is not tied to it. For example, whether I practice guitar today or not, I'm still a good musician who has put in work in the past and I can keep growing in my craft if I'm able and willing in kindness.
My friend this is an excellent practice you are describing here. Commendations to you. You are describing the work, that all of us need to do. We sometimes complain that there is a lack of kindness in the church, in our schools, auto workplaces, just lack of kindness in the world. However, you have addressed the missing piece in that conversation, that is, for kindness to be manifested in our world, it must first start with given kindness to ourselves. No one can give what they don’t have, or no one can make someone else experience what they themselves have never experienced. Thank you for sharing.
Excellent.
